This is so beyond my spectrum of understanding its insane, but I still understand enough to glean that you sir, have impressive talents in this field. Keep it up! Any more work on this subject brings us closer to some serious homebrews or other unique goodies! I released a demo that will boot on al...

Re: Captain Quazar
How is it? Snagged one on eeeBay for what I felt to be a reasonable price ($18ish after shipping?), CIB of course. What do you think of the game? Good? Bad? To my understanding, it's a top-down run 'n gun-ish game. Sounds like my cup of tea, especially since there aren't many like it on the platfor...

In the orginal cel, the data is compressed; whereas BMPTo3DOCel stores the data uncompressed.3DO Experience wrote: PS. Here is an example of what I get out. ASYLUM1.cel is the original file, ASYLUM.bmp is the bitmap of it I'm using and ASYLUM.cel is the file I get out.

Has anyone else built from Windows and gotten sound to work? Welp, just answered my own question. I assumed the code that cdoty posted in his .rar was the same as the code from the SDK I'm using, so I never even looked at it. It's not quite the same -- bounce.c had set ENABLE_SOUND to 0. Changed th...

Mm... I don't understand clearly, but I'll try this later. Yesterday I tried to change a WAD file in Doom (REZFILE). But I failed... Possibly it is in another format, not the same WAD file for Doom 2 (PC). Is it any converter or other thing to edit 3DO Doom rezfile? Yeah, it could be a diffe...

I want to convert my qucktime movie to *.stream format. Is it possible to do this on Windows? The codec 'might' exist for Windows; but using Basilisk would probably be easier. Set up the conversions in a makefile, and have it move the result file to a folder on the PC (it would be something like 'm...

Okay... Another question: I've found some *.lib files in LIBS = $(LIBPATH)exampleslib.lib $(LIBPATH)Lib3DO.lib $(LIBPATH)audio.lib........ If I'll add here all files located in libs directory, this will decrease the performance resulted Launchme or not? No, the linker will only include stuff from t...

Also you will need to modify the makefile that I supplied with the demo. The make file in the project will work with armmake, but you have to modify the paths, as they are in Mac format, and not windows. Thank you! Also, I want to ask about modifying makefiles... Can I take your makefile and use it...

What I think we need, but it might be beyond me.. I'll poke at it in my free time (when I get some :-) ) is.. a port of SDL... I'm thinking I might start with some simple SDL demos/games and start building an SDL.h as the code uses it... Could take me a while, there are a lot of SDL commands.. Once...

Great! But how can I drag resources from Mac to Windows? For example, I want to compile 3DO_Orbit demo. But I have errors in each file loading. Is it mean HFV Explorer didn't work? You need to convert the source (and header) files from mac format to windows format. Notepad++ can do this pretty easi...

I finished the demo, and it runs fine on a real 3DO. It should work correctly in either NTSC or PAL modes. I couldn't test the PAL version though. http://www.rastersoft.net/Graphics/Invades.jpg The start button will restart the demo, and the directional pad will move the alien (sorry no fire button,...

Looks like this is mostly Windows stuff you're doing? (I can do Windows stuff.. It runs in my Linux box.. :-) ) It's a windows console app. The only modifications you should need to make is to remove the windows.h includes, and add typedefs for DWORD, WORD, and BYTE. Other than that, I use the stan...

Do you sleep? :) Yep, mostly on weekends. :) The 3DO stuff is pretty exciting; so I don't mind sacrificing some sleep to play around with it. Q: on the development kit(s). (Your website name isn't resolving for me for some reason, so I can't download the demo to check) Is all the development in ASM...
