Haven't read all the posts, but yes, only the boot files are encrypted, or rather, hashed. And don't use FreeDO to test modified images, because FreeDO doesn't care about valid encryption anyway. It can boot unencrypted games without even the need for a special bios (which is the key point, as afaik...

Of course, it's the same game. That's what the site says, even if it doesn't mention 3DO, but the game was probably never 3DO-exclusive anyway.

Anyway, I plan to upload in-game videos of all games in the near future, so better subscribe to the channel. :D

Re: Evil Night for the M2?

Anyone know anything about this? What exactly do you want to know? I made and uploaded those videos, so I might be able to answer your questions. :D The visual quality of the games is much better than what you see in those videos, by the way. The re-encoding done by YouTube killed all fine details,...

It would be silly to compare SDKs with games. SDKs are thousands of dollars and confidential. And the rights to the various SDKs are hold by renowned companies. Messing with their rights is something you certainly don't want to do.

Simple answer: It's illegal. And since SDKs are almost always confidential (age doesn't matter), it's also quite risky to offer them for download.

How come? One was on eBay about a year ago, and some people at Assembler have complete, boxed dev kits as well.

Anyway, that link is quite old. I saw it half a year ago already, and I don't think anyone will ever buy it for $1800.

Re: M2 was it more powerful than...

So was the M2 more powerful than the DC and PS2, or was 3DO too early again? The M2 would have been more powerful than the N64, but the DC was way more powerful (3 times, afaik). But I think you can't really compare it by the hardware specs. Only by the games, so we can't really compare it at all. ...

Makes me wonder why you ask that at all? You can program whatever you want, as neither ASM nor C (which you would use to write 3DO software) are limited in this regard.

Fully agree with pitsunami. Fuses blow for a reason, they are there to protect the rest of the electronics. The worst you can do is to put in a stronger fuse, as that *will* cause additional damage, and it's highly dangerous too.
