Re: Kings of Edom pre-order

I got 2 copies of this but have yet to try it out! From what I've read it's pretty addictive.
Hoping to get some time to play in 2022 :D

Played the hell out of this game when it first arrived. Got a pretty outstanding high score. Haven't seen it matched yet:

Re: WIP Spidex(Black Widow clone)

Mine came in the other day. Hard game although it looks easy enough. The green on the webs gets me killed the most as it blocks crossing/movement on those areas so it's easy to get trapped. Plus, there's some invincible bug that follows you around in the later early levels. Combine him with the gree...

Yeah, limited run I believe. Started/ended in 2008. I grabbed up a few copies while it was available but for the most part I haven't seen it on ebay much.
It would be great for another run but hardly think it's a possibility.

There have been some updates since last year on this. It's getting close. Saturn you a play tester for this? Not a game tester for this one. Wish I was! Stats look the same as they did before the site disappeared. Wonder if he's still at this in any capacity? Would be nice to finish since it's so c...

Very sad and terrible loss. Prayers for his family and all those affected by his sudden passing.
Much respect to him and his contributions to the Atari legacy/scene. He will be sorely missed.

Did this July 14, 2015. Forgot about it until I happened across these screen shots on an old laptop. Looks like there was supposed to be another game. Re: Doom Hack videos

On December 16th I finished the 10th rom and a total of 130 levels converted. The process is incredibly fun and very addictive. I'm trying to take a break from it but it won't last more than a couple of days. I don't have videos of the last two roms bc the laptop I'm using doesn't have enough power ...

Re: Pro controller run ready for buying

I got a few of these and every one of them works flawlessly. The Dpad on one is a little more sensitive. Reminds me of switching from SNES controller/system to Genesis. I always thought the Genesis Dpad was too finicky. Some people love it but I could never fully get used to them myself. I'm using t...

Re: Doom Hack videos

Yes, the original tutorial had them uncompressed. I followed that tutorial the end but there was a 2nd part not in the tutorial that I was given access to where the compression came into play. It was an integral part of making it work in the end so I outlined the process in my thread on RVG for anyo...

Re: Doom Hack videos

Cool, I didn't know ggn did a hack. I'd only ever heard of neo_rg doing them. His guide is where I learned this. Pretty interesting read. I added massively to it here and worked out most of the redundant issues making it even simpler to crank out levels at an accelerated pace. I wish more people wer...

Re: Doom Hack videos

LOL they're all compressed. I only did 12 to 13 maps each because some of them were so enormous, #14 would have exceeded the original allotment of code usable to put them in. Overwriting the data for map 24 causes sound sample issues so you can really only overwrite to the end of map 23 safely. The ...

Doom Hack videos

Here are quick play throughs of all the mods/levels I've made so far and hacked into Doom ROMs. A few of the videos have some lag but only because my laptop couldn't handle running PT and Fraps simultaneously during some of the more intense sections that even real hardware has slight problems with. ...

After porting these (back) to the Jaguar, I got a pcb made and sent to me. I've since put a clear cart shell on it and waiting for a label. Have a guy making it and several others for me. It's crazy to play these on real hardware lol The labeled ones are all my other hacked levels, the 2 Doom II mod...

Thanks for this. Took it for a spin myself and opened the wad in Doom Builder 2. When I get a chance I'll lengthen my excel file and try to hack all 17 levels into a single JagDoom rom. Call it the WalterJ levels or something 8)
Awesome work!!

DOOM with fixed networking

Been watching a thread at AA where Carl from Songbird and a few others have been working to fix the network bug. Turns out it's NOT the infamous UART bug in the hardware but entirely in Doom itself. Now, it's been worked out and is supposed to be solid.. After I asked if someone would post a working...
