Re: Review - The Eye of Typhoon

I've got the REAL3D0player app on my LG phone and this is one of the games I occasionally play on it, when I can't play it at home. Even with a moves list its still ridiculously hard to play, then again it could be my cell phone/mobile, although I am finding certain characters are open to certain mo...

Re: Retro platform repairs-Australia

Thanks for the sage advice Dr E. 8) I to am W.A. based (North of the river). I have tinkered around with a Dreamcast before, and I suppose I have nothing to lose in trying to fix the broken 3DO's but I'm not about to drop $$ at Jaycar buying soldering irons and other electronics repair equipment and...

Retro platform repairs-Australia

I've returned to this forum after a fairly long absence..I see it's just hanging in there :o Just wondering with the Australian contributors to this forum, do they have a recommended repairer for their consoles, because at least two of my four 3do consoles need a bit of love and I'm kind of getting ...

I honestly hope the winners actually receive their prizes.

Over a year ago (around the 28th November 2010) someone of high esteem in this forum held a competition which I won.

I never received the prize. Maybe it got lost in the mail... :?

Conquered this some time ago. I agree with 3DOExp about the maze part. As for combat I remember it being very slow and I think it was almost RPG-ish in application. Once I get my other 3do out of storage (Dr Enceladus, you'd appreciate this; it's in storage at Kalgoorlie :D ), I'll fire it up and get a few scores from NFS and Samurai Shodown to put up here.

I "get" your 'more right' comment regarding SNK games on Neo Geo consoles. This is despite one of my personal greatest achievements on the 3do is completing Samurai Shodown on Arcade setting-probably redundant by other peoples standards. Current Neo Geo CD work in progress is completing Samur...

Hot Fuzz
Orgazmo (for sh!ts & giggles)
The Crow (the original and none of the sequels)

Can't think of any others at the moment.

King of Fighters R2 for the Neo Geo Pocket colour...about 3 days ago. Not exactly a taxing game to play, but chews up waiting time. If we are talking epic games then it would be the original Halo for the Xbox. For me it took about 4-5 years to complete, intermittantly playing it. In the end I compl...

Re: dreamcast controllers
Honestly the controllers just plain suck
Crap controller=PSX (PSone) controllers. Have these changed through the various Playstation iterations?? I honestly don't know as I've never sullied myself playing PS2 or PS3.

Sorry....off topic

Are you talking 3do exclusive titles? Although I don't regard most 3do owners as hardcore, I'm thinking that alot of the games that translated to a more "mainstream" market got ported over and made the list such as Gex. Therein lies the problem with these lists they rarely tip the lid to more obscur...

I have yet to see the Tekken Movie, how average is average? About a 3 or 4. Probably in the same line as Dead or Alive, but without the ridulous programmable sunglasses plot and a heady nod to the multitude of post-apocalyptic movies. There is some eye candy mind you, but not as much as DOA. I thin...

Are we on round 2 yet?

My next guess is speakers. Not the tiny little iPod ones they have these days but big chunky late 80's to 90's ones so you can use the unit as a stereo system without having to use the t.v speakers.
