I bought mine just after the PS1 took off in a big way. Mainly I bought it due to the fact that I intensely disliked the PS1 when I was a kid and refused to go along with the crowd and buy one myself, there was also an element of wanting to be a rebel involved I think  Not to say I didn't think...

As far as I can tell there are two endings in the 3DO. Three in the PC version is absolute. I guess so, its just that multiple endings in FPS games wasn't really the norm for the time so I find it surprising that Studio 3DO put the time in to make two, but have them both as being bad endings. Also,...

Is there any new info on this? I've heard conflicting reports that there's two endings, three endings, or five endings, but nobody is giving details.

I also found a small write-up somewhere which says its pertaining to the 3DO version, and has minor details of an end boss fight with Tess.

Re: Alone in the dark

I'm a big fan of this game, and love it to bits. Often I wished they had updated the 3DO version instead of just porting the PC version. I'm fairly certain they updated the sound with better quality, added music and voice acting though, or was that on the PC version too, I can't remember anymore LO...

Re: 3DO in Your country.

Alright, so I'm thinking of vanity publishing a coffee table book for the 3DO. I wanted to gather together a multinational view of the 3DO in your countries. For the UK (you can disagree with me by-the-way) The 3DO was seen as niche machine and quite expensive, probably similarly in some ways to th...

Dude don't you have both PAL and NTSC 3DO's? can't you just dump it in the PAL one for a minute then swap it to the NTSC one and tell me if there's any difference :P

Compared to PAL?

I'd imagine if it moves faster it must be less choppy to at least a small extent.

Is Killing Time smooth on NTSC?

I've just been watching a video of Killing Time on Youtube and it actually looks much, much smoother on NTSC than PAL, has anyone compered the two?

Seriously if that game is actually smooth then my already high opinion of it has just gone up, that was the only problem with the game.

I hate computers too, they constantly f#ck up and seem to totally have a mind of their own. Necessary evil, that's what they are, except for home computers of course.

I never had any of these problems with my Spectrum and C64.

On an entirely unrelated note, I was watching the news earlier and it was something about the US health service and how it may end up like the UK NHS. There was this American guy interviewed who looked seriously pissed about this and he went "HAVE YOU SEEN WHAT THE BRIT'S TEETH LOOK LIKE?!?!?!" :(

Gex and Soccer Kid are pretty much the only choice for good platformers on the 3DO.

If you don't mind going into adventuring style platformer territory then Flashback and Another World are also both amazing.

Yes, but 3DO tried very hard in UK, bu in the end it was to expensive for the British market. The 3DO wasn't really too expensive for the UK market, it was launched at around £400 with a game as opposed to the £400 without a game that the Saturn was released at a year later, and once the Saturn/PS1...

Negativity, if done right, is an art form. No one says Edge has an in-ability to communicate, and communicate subtly. You read Edge 8 thru 23 (which ever saw Playstation/Saturn released) and there is a constant, even when they are handing out good scores, negativity against the Jag and 3DO. There i...
