i wonder what opensource stuff could be ported from the acorn or atari st to the 3DO. The acorn uses arm cpus and its slower that the 3do.

Well I made a little progress... I have not really done anything yet but take the top off and look around. There are 2 crystals the one by Clio has 25.04R41 on it. Maybe the 25 MHz for the gfx card. The second is by madam, it has 50.00KSS4M. I think that's the one I need to replace, no proof just a ...

Fixed. I did some tracing and i found some corrosion on the board that separated 2 of the connections. i soldiered 2 wires. woot it works. I have a multimeter. The dead 3do from my childhood used to at least turn on now it doesn't do that.
