Finally got it working right!

Sorry for the delay, but i finally got the time to finnish this project.. got the machine working with the SF92.5 laser replacement with the russian instructions, so they are good.. just need to make a cross cable adapter in order to fit the new laser in.. here are few videos of the work in progress...

Major update!! FINALLY got the games working, audio cd's work 95% normal.. games are bit glitchy at the moment, but it's down to some minor adjustments.. burned cd's work pretty good better than with the original SF92.5 laser unit. will get back to you guys with the instructions in few hours.. -Clive

Yes! Just fixed my 3DO!! the laser unit was so badly covered with tar residue, due to smoking previous owner. I just cleaned the laser unit over and over again with rubbing alcohol and gave it a good blow of air trough the small holes in the laser and that did the trick. It now reads audio cd's pret...

I will try to ask around for this laser, it was pretty common laser used back in the 90's it was on many car cd players and even widely used on home cd player decks. it might be that to get one I have to order 10pcs but it wont be problem because I would say that they will sell on ebay pretty fast. ...
