Thanks everyone for weighing in. I definitely appreciate it. It sounds like it's a mixed bag, a matter of personal preference, mostly. I don't know about their quality but many people sold these still in the bag. You should be able to get 2 of them for $4, not $9.99. :( Have you seen any around for ...

3DO Controllers

Hello again! It's getting near Christmas time once again, so I am back to get my brother Jim some more 3DO goodness. This time around, he's telling me he needs a new controller. The only ones he can find (in his boxes of game systems) are the wireless ones that he said came out right at the end of t...

Hi everyone! This has been a very informative thread. My 6-year-old Samsung HD TV is getting closer and closer to crapping out, so I know eventually I'll need a new one. I'll come back and reread this when the time comes. Since I haven't looked for a TV in a while, is S-video and composite going awa...

It WAS a dental imaging system made by a company called Imagin Systems. (I say WAS because it appears they have discontinued it... at least it's not on their website anymore.) They bought the molding plates and gave the Jag case a brief new life. In fact, IIRC, a rep from the company went on AA to s...

or you could paint it like this, and ask people if they would like to play a game on dental equipment :D Wow, I had totally forgotten about that thing! What a trip! The Dental Jag.. really, Atari should've thought of it themselves. Think of the ad campaign: Your kids hate to brush their teeth...

I was thinking of painting my Jaguar to look something like this (I made that in Photoshop). Has anyone made any custom Jaguar bodies? Feel free to post any other custom bodies you've made too  Kinda late in mentioning this I know, but the only problem I see is if you ever decide to get the C...

Thank You, Everyone!

Hi All! I forgot to come back here and thank all of you for your assistance on picking out 3DO Christmas gifts for my brother's collection. I went a bit overboard, buying him a total of seven long-boxed titles. But everytime I'd buy something, I'd find an even better deal a couple days later. I star...

This tech is way above my head these days lol. Dude, I freakin' LOVE your avatar! 8) I've been meaning to tell you that. I'm a mammoth Pink Floyd fan and Animals is my number one favourite album. It's the only bit o' music I ever bought on vinyl, cassette and CD. Off topic, I know. But it...

*cries* My games' souls have been taken! Damn you technology! Well, to be fair, a LOT of Jaguar games were (clearly) never equipped with souls. Have you ever seen Checkered Flag or Club Drive? How 'bout Fight For Life? You don't have to look all that deep to see... there is... no soul! Bwahahahahah...

I know where my Jag CDs are but I can't find my carts! Anyone know where I have put them? Didn't you take some pictures of them at one time a while back? Oh yes, there's your answer. They are IN the camera! I'll bet ya never looked there, did ya? It's like how when ya take a picture of someone, you...

As far as I know there is no list for games that came in long boxes here you go :D . my USA collection is about 98% boxed (i need 8 more boxes and 2 manuals) any other long boxes out there come from other countries like Korea (Firewall game for example) Fantastic list, Lemmi! It looks like pretty m...

And in case it wasn't obvious, I'm the one who made that video about Zhadnost and Cyberdillo. And this one: http://elder-geek.com/2009/10/elder-geek-gaming-show/ Every single game you see piled up on my table in that video has been traded in at eStarland.com so knock yourself out. Heh... I guess yo...

NO! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD AND ALL THAT IS HOLY -- DO NOT BUY CYBERDILLO! Your brother will hate you forever. This, my friends, was a test, to see if you'd let me buy a game like this. You passed! :D Oh my god!!! I've watched a couple of videos, and Cyberdillo has got to be the weirdest game ever made...

Y'know, I've spent the past several hours reading and watching reviews, and I gotta tell ya, I'm starting to feel a strong urge to go buy me a 3DO! I watched a few "top 5" videos, and several other Youtube videos. The racing games alone are making me drool... Jaguar certainly didn't have a Need for ...

Random question...

I just read the review for Battle Chess, and it mentioned the 3DO Maniac Pack. Upon research, I see that the Maniac Pack includes Way of the Warrior, Alone in the Dark, Battle Chess, and Out of This World. Are they complete versions of these games?

Thanks,
Smeg

Thanks everyone for the prompt and helpful replies! I knew 3DO people would be cool! :D I think I'll have a look around the Interweb for those "high profile" games I know he doesn't have, and if I can find a few in uncrushed long boxes with instructions, I'll grab 'em. (When I say high profile, I me...

My five favourite Jaguar games:

Tempest 2000
AvP
Wolfenstein 3D
Iron Soldier (1 and/or 2)
BattleSphere

There's a few others I really enjoy playing, like Doom, Worms and Pinball Fantasies, but I'll go with those as my five.

Cheers,

Questions from a 3DO Newbie

Hi everyone! I primarily hang out on the Atari sites such as Jaguar Sector II and AtariAge, cuz I'm, y'know, an Atari dude. Nothing against the 3DO at all... in fact, if I had room, I'd have one. Okay, the point: My brother has a 3DO with around 45 games. Since Christmas is coming up, I thought I'd ...
