Help compiling iso
I have been reading all the posts about signing 3do isos and decided to try and sign the Orbatak iso using the Game guru files as mentioned in the guide on the site here. It seems straight forward enough but I'm confused as to how and where I type in the '3DOEncrypt generomtags isoname.iso' part. I ...

Re: Road Rash saying not enough memory to play music
I had the same problem on my old Goldstar model and I think it is the same for the FZ-10. Ewhac had this problem on his lets play of road rash on youtube.
I think its a quirk of the cost reduced models of the 3do so I dont think your console is broken.

Re: Royal Pro Wrestling a game I want to love.
Yeah I have tried using this guide in the past without much success I think I was trying too hard. Since my last post I have spent a bit of time going through the training introduction and with google translate I have been able to decipher what is going on. You have to forget how western wrestling g...

Re: 3do games with widescreen support
I just noticed an extra option in the Japanese options menu and turned it on which changed how the circle around the golfer's feet looked. I changed my tv to widescreen an boom everything looked right. The power of google translate confirmed that option I toggled on is indeed widescreen.

I have a PS1 pad converter but it doesn't do the analogue sticks unfortunately.

3do games with widescreen support
Since I'm on a bit of a gaming binge I decided to sit down with some good old golf games and for some reason I decided to play the Japanese versions of what the 3do has to offer. Since I can't read Japanese I tried using google translate and stumbled on something interesting in the options menu. App...

Re: Jap FZ-1 Mode A-B switch 240p tests.
Yeah Wolf 3D is noticeably faster which makes me sad that we still don't have an adapter which would allow the use of a pad with analogue control.

Royal Pro Wrestling a game I want to love.
As a wrestling fan who was fortunate enough to be around when it was worth watching I have always enjoyed wrestling games, good ones anyway. When I realized that there was a pretty great looking wrestling game on my beloved 3do I got real excited. Only problem is I cant read Japanese and I can't fin...

Jap FZ-1 Mode A-B switch 240p tests.
A few weeks ago I decided to swap out my US FZ-1 for my Jap version and noticed a small Mode A-B switch next to the rear expansion slot and decided to find out what its function was. After getting nowhere reading the console's manual I finally found an old post from Bitrate where he said that it swi...

IMMERCENARY proto beta discs on ebay
Hey everyone just letting the forum know that there are several Immercenary proto beta discs and an encrypted disc being sold on ebay uk right now. They look legit and are on a 99p start auction for any 3do collectors here who are interested. I dont know what I would do with them but they seem like ...

The goldstar controller looks a bit better but its actually not that good compared to the panasonic controllers. If remember right the manual for Samurai Showdown or SSF2T actually recommend using the old 'loosen the controller screw near the Dpad' fix to get the Dpad to be more responsive. I love h...

I completely understand that making good youtube videos isn't the easiest thing to do, it would just be nice to see someone go through the game to show how to play it, that it can be done and on the 3do instead of the very similar Win95 version. I know its brick hard and doesn't have a difficulty sl...

Is this the worst Space Hulk review on the Tube?
Does anyone else think that we need some quality 3do Space Hulk review videos or walk-throughs on youtube? Check out this video http://youtu.be/qLEuSvKATqA This guy almost made me not want to play the game or a 3do even though I love the machine and the game to death! I know there are good 3do games...

I just remember my mate being non too pleased with his PSX version at the time, he had been spoiled with my 3do before jumping on the Sony bandwagon. He hated that the game looked dull and would crash and freeze during battles just like the Goldstar 3do did. I had a Goldstar for about a month before...

Playing Space Hulk off a 3do hard drive would be incredible, so would all the other games lol pity there isnt a video of the games running thou. If I saw this mod on Evilbay, and it was for the FZ-1, I would buy it in a heartbeat. I take it the FZ-1 isnt too popular in Russia as most of the Russian ...

The 3ds is a good system, Mario 3d land is a worthy addition to the 3ds library. Resident Evil is surprisingly good and shows off the systems capabilities really well as you'll realise that the 3ds is a big tech step up from the ds. I love handhelds, Atari Lynx is still very impressive even today, b...

Sweet. I'll see if I can get my hands on the translated copies and get a look at them on my Dingoo. Personally I always use the Pro Logic setting when using the amp even though the 3do outputs Dolby Surround. Pity the 3do wasn't fitted with a digital out but i suppose that would be because of the consoles age. The Xbox was magic for a guy like me the 5.1 significantly made the gaming experience th...

Yeah I remember the Snes having one but I didn't know the Genesis had the chops to output Pro Logic. Q Sound is good as SSF2 still sounds peachy. I was just interested to hear if the Ps1 or Saturn did use Pro Logic as standard in its games like the 3do, being they were much newer machines. An amp wi...

Pro Logic gaming in the 90s...........anyone else?
I know the 3do is bit older than the Saturn and Ps1 but did the newer consoles support Pro Logic surround sound for their titles? I never actually owned either of the consoles so I've never had a chance to hear them thru an amp and I doubt my friend's old TV speakers were doing the machines any just...

I agree that the PSX did have the better conversion of Doom for the consoles at the time but thats really no surprise as Id and Williams handled the conversion, PSX was the latest most powerful machine around (M2 where were you?) and it had the might of Sony behind it. But the 3do was doing things t...

So long as you have tested other import consoles on your TV it should work fine its only the really old sets that cant display NTSC in colour and I think its safe to say that all the HD tvs display NTSC no problem. You'll need a step down transformer, that you plug the 3DO into, that converts your l...
