I managed to snag the first one brand new at a gaming convention for $17 clams. He had a copy of Syndicate as well, but I passed on it becuase I have a minty boxed copy on the Jaguar.
I've been searching for it too, best of luck tracking it down
Looks totally awesome! Aside from the cleaning and TLC, how was it done? Was it just the heatsinks and some thermal compound? Where did you get the sinks themselves?
My nerdliness is in inquisitive overdrive. Share the precious!
The Lost Files of Sherlock Holmes is in a similar mold to LucasArts hits from the early 90's like Indiana Jones And The Fate Of Atlantis. Very similar menus, graphics, structure, etc... It is leaps and bounds ahead of the Sherlock fmv titles. Trev, you got me all excited now! I picked Monkey Island...
So I've played the Sega CD/Turbografx Sherlock games but I have yet to sink my teeth into this gem. I just received my copy of it about a week ago and I plan to rip into it this weeked. Is this game 'comparable' at all to the Sega CD games or is this a totally different beast?
I'm like a giddy little girl just thinking about being able to trade and buy/sell here. On the east coast in the US, I see very very few 3DO things in the wild, so having another avenue to utilize would mean the world to me. I like the idea using a verification system through the forum itself, as I ...
Did you just buy the NIB copy that was on Evilbay within the last few weeks? From a guy selling that, Out of This World, and Captai Quazar? Cause if so, WHY U BID HIGHER THAN ME!?!?
I was on the fence about which system to get this game for. I was leaning towards the Jaguar, because I already have Doom for that and it plays really well. It seems though that the added goodies on the 3DO version make it worth it.
Having a visual or a chorus to a song, something that you like but can't figure it out after years, can get pretty maddening. That happened to me with one particular song....for 6 years. Finally figured it out and GOOOOD that felt good.
Yeah, sorry about outbidding you on Quazar....it's at my house right now.
Did you also scoop up the Dragon Lore and Out of This World that he had for sale too? I was super steamed when I lost the Out of This World one, I want that game SOOOO badly
It's always great to have people from all around the globe, so we can talk and compare! I'm sorry, your English is much better than my Japanese, but youkoso to 3DO Zone!
True. I use my PC for most FPS games and things of that nature that feel better with a mouse and keyboard. 3rd person games or platformers, I need a controller.
So, I don't know if anyone else was watching the eBay auction except for myself, but this game just went for $25. granted it was disc only, but whoever had a bid on it initially must have know how much it was worth.
It's a possibility. Atlus is starting to work more and more with PC as a platform. They have a few games on Steam already, and Catherine was well received as being a unique and engaging experience. Only time will tell, but I don't see why they wouldn't. Not a whole lot of work to make the conversion...
It's not necessarily a new pickup, but its a milestone for me. I just hit 20 boxed games (21 if you count Madden, which I sure as hell don't). As I speak I have 2 or 3 on their way to me as well, which seems to be the norm as of late, with the rate I've been expanding my 3DO roster. I place blame fo...
Any recent developments on this? I'd be willing to get in contact with people and do some of the necessary digging. I'm diehard into schmups, so anything that we can pull out of the rabbit hole would be jawsome (yeah, street sharks, whats up).
Agree. A futbol game? no...no. I wanted something awesome. Give me Trip Hawkins Crumpet Explosion 4000. You play as Trip and you have to go around ruffling all the royal guards hats in London.
I'm a 26 year old man and my wife came home to me playing Putt-Putt Joins the Parade. Why? Why is it fun? Is it because its easy and adorable? Is it because of the starring role being filled by an anthropomorphic automobile? I don't know, but that doesnt matter. The fact is the little guy makes it.....
