Re: Gamepro 3DO announcement
Huh, how far did the TNG game get? Was it released on other platforms? Has a 3DO proto surfaced? Do androids dream of sheepish electricity?

Re: Review - Psychic Detective
Good, well-written review that captures the game's spirit nicely. My fiancée and I played through this three times over the past couple nights. The first time we did absolutely nothing and got the worst ending (Moki's Playmate), and then we started exploring and figuring things out. So far we've got...

Re: 3DO 2-player co-op games?
So, er...any others? :D In particular, any unsung 2P co-op games in the Japanese or Korean 3DO libraries? We played Trip'd and Burning Soldier tonight, but it'd be nice to have more options. We could try Captain Quazar, but I don't see us playing Mazer, another 2P co-op game that wasn't mentioned......

Ooh, I've been wanting one of those. Unlike the original SGB, which runs games a bit faster than normal, the Super Game Boy 2 runs at the correct speed.3DO Experience wrote:Since I had this out for Donkey Kong I figured I'd post a shot of my 100% complete Super Game Boy 2.

Re: DB Upgrade
Many of these can probably be restored from Google Cache if we act fast and know what to look for. Might seem silly to bother, but I've seen too many valuable threads disappear on other sites. One board, for example, had an eyewitness account of an incident I've never seen mentioned anywhere else (p...

Re: 22 Prince of Persia versions
It also depends on whether you count unofficial/homebrew ports, or ports that change the name but leave the game unchanged. Some computers have many different ports of the same game, e.g. the Tandy CoCo which has at least 4 different Donkey Kong ports. Heck, the Intellivision has four, now that I th...

Re: 22 Prince of Persia versions
Is PoP the most ported game ever??! It's up there. There's even an Atari 2600 version that was being worked on -- and it looked astonishingly good! And, if it isn't, I wonder what actually is?! :D Tetris, I'd think? Ok. I watched that entire video. And one thing was pretty clear: I reckon all the p...

Heh, true, but only if you don't put it in quotes. In time I suspect the board will get the top rank, since it has the exact phrase.dark wrote:Haha, oh no! I just noticed, if you type 3DO zone into google, the first result is a notorious piracy website

Re: Vote for the new name.
Ewhac has contributed. Those video's, mostly watched by us, have contributed. He's put a valid case in his video that says that the name grates on him and other former 3DO employee's. Technically, I think it was GammaDev who complained in the video. (He has posted here once , and I'd certainly welc...

Do you remember which episode it was? I have them all saved. It's at about 31:50 in the Level 9 video. Here's a transcript, though they talk about it a bit more later on too: "There's been a lot of discussion on the 3DO forum, 3DO Zone forum. By the way, I have to say something about that." "Oh, ye...

Are there any former 3do employees on this forum? Yes, but does it still bother them today ? I'm not voting as of the moment. Re: Why I love doing this.
This is a great post. And yeah, I love the feeling that I'm exploring a world that's fallen into desuetude, love the idea that I'm bringing old stories to life again. I get that from old and forgotten books/movies/games, and from games as well. And sometimes I even find something that (as far as I k...

Re: Negative impact of gaming.
Have games taught me my life is worthless unless I am on some sort of critical crusade be it real or virtual? Do other people, non-gaming people, find 'cause' in the mundane. Is gaming more damaging than TV? All forms of media, old and new, push us to see ourselves as heroic protagonists in some gr...

Re: Non-3DO and Mixed Collections
3DO Experience, do you have the US LaserActive laserdisc for "J.B. Harold: Blue Chicago Blues", by any chance? I recently learned that was the only English-language version of the game released, and I'm wondering how much it resembles the 3DO version (and whether the English audio from the LD could ...

Over at the ASSEMblergames forums, user djandy was kind enough to check out my translation, and to my surprise he said it's quite accurate. His main suggestion was that I should use something stronger than "jerk", so here's my revised version: Gentlemen! I've been waiting! Do you remember me? Yes, i...

Re: Review - Guardian War
This is on my shortlist of 3DO games to delve into soon. The screenshots remind me of Guardian's Crusade for PlayStation, which I played for a while last month. Terrible title screen, though -- it has that cheap/cluttered look, can't put my finger on why, but it would've benefited from the attention...

I finished watching these a few days ago. Re: Let's Play: BattleSport, Return Fire, Killing Time
I enjoyed it, and the intro was very witty (who did the voice?), but I agree about spreading things a bit thin. The intro and Killing Time segments come off the best since, as you mentioned, when you're both playing at the same time the commentary tends to tail off. I've gotten spoiled by your EFMM ...

Why do they even make the effort? I can't imagine that type of spam marketing is very effective ... they might be able to trick gramma, but why would she be on the 3DO Forums in the first place? Re: Iron Angel of the Apocalypse/Tetsujin walkthrough?
Yes, please do! I've barely ever played the game, but I plan to take it on in the future, and knowing something's out there in case I get stuck is a big help (especially since it's by no means always the case for 3DO games).
