Re: (My attempt at) A Definitive 3DO Game List

Thanks for the input! Adding the original non-translated Japanese and Korean names will be a bit of an undertaking, but I do plan on adding that in the next major update. I also wanted a way to filter out demos/multimedia/etc. I had been doing this for my own use by auto-filtering out certain genres...

Re: Comprehensive list of 3DO titles?

I've just updated my 3DO game list, you can find it here: http://nixzero.wordpress.com/236-2/ I've made quite a few changes, and I always welcome more suggestions/corrections. Major changes include: -Added several demos, including those published as part of the Demo Disc Program. -Filled all most bl...

Re: (My attempt at) A Definitive 3DO Game List

Ok, I've finally updated my 3DO game list, thanks to goldenband, Austin, FUJISAN and 3DO Si for their help and suggestions! http://nixzero.wordpress.com/236-2/ here are some of the more notable updates: -Added several demos, including those published as part of the Demo Disc Program. -Filled all mos...

Re: Trip'd vs. Flopon the Space Mutant vs. Furopon World

Thanks for the clarification!

Pretty confusing, especially since Flopon the Space Mutant (J) has the same serial as Trip'd (US): FZ-SJ2351.

I'm curious, are there any major differences between the Flopon the Space Mutant Demo, the game on the Short Warp disc, and Trip'd??

Trip'd vs. Flopon the Space Mutant vs. Furopon World

I'm trying to clear up some confusion on the 'Furopon/Flopon" games by Warp. I do not own any of them, but have found conflicting information online. Flopon the Space Mutant was developed first, and only in Japan. A demo was then released in Japan for Flopon the Space Mutant 2 , which was also inclu...

Re: Comprehensive list of 3DO titles?

Also, the numbering for the 3DO sampler discs is confusing... In the U.S., the most common samplers are "3DO Interactive Sampler" 1-4, but there's also "Sampler III and Storage Manager", which appears to be a different disc that has no preceding titles (only one with roman numerals). Then there's AL...

Re: Comprehensive list of 3DO titles?

One of the things I would like to confirm are how many different Storage Manager discs were produced. I know that Japan has the "Storage Manger 2.1" disc, which I assume was only bundled with the memory unit. The US included memory managers on several sampler discs and games (the only one that inclu...

Re: Comprehensive list of 3DO titles?

I've been working on an update to my list that includes goldenband's corrections (thanks!). While filling in some blanks, I stumbled across this: http://www.ebay.com/itm/3DO-Demo-Disc-Program-Binder-/121486804473?pt=Video_Games_Games&hash=item1c492d85f9 I had not yet seen these dealer demo discs and...

Re: Alternate mouse for the 3DO?

Well, I guess that's settled then. I figured the 3DO's input was pretty unique, but I was hoping something out there used the same protocol. That and the 3DOs small userbase has certainly led to some pricey peripherals, though. I picked up my 3DO (and 15 games!) for next to nothing, but my controlle...

Re: Alternate mouse for the 3DO?

Well, I only have one 3DO, and I'm not that gutsy, lol. Heard way too many horror stories about folks using Sega controllers and frying their systems. Maybe someone with better knowledge of the controller interface and pinouts would know if this is feasible? Oddly enough, since writing this post I a...

Sorry I've been away from the site so long. Good catch on Real Pinball/ Fire Ball, goldenband! As for the "thumego" confusion, there tends to be a lot of ambiguity with phonetic translation. I ran into a lot of those while putting the list together. I was actually hoping someone could clear up some ...

Glad I found this thread, I'll make sure to remove this title from the game list I've been working on. I'd found it referenced in quite a few other lists, but I haven't been able to find any concrete proof that it was actually released on the 3DO (box scan, serial number, ROM-dump, etc.). While it's...

OK, updated the file. It's still not complete, but I've added the US demos and all the known (to me) magazine coverdiscs.

I also updated the description on the page to reflect the changes made to the list.

Alternate mouse for the 3DO?

I know that using Genesis/Mega Drive controllers in your 3DO is a bad idea, but has anyone tried a 9-pin serial mouse?

Obviously it would be easier to find than the FZ-JM1, and you could probably find an optical one.

Wow, this title looks cool, I'll definitely pick it up. Thanks for sharing your love for it, zook! When I first read about it, I confused it with Sherlock Holmes Consulting Detective, a game made for DOS, Sega CD, and TGCD. It's one of the first CD-ROM games I owned, and I LOVED it. It spawned 2 seq...

Same here. I don't know the history of my FZ-1, and I'm always nervous about old consoles. I get a lil paranoid anytime I get an error message, the CD tray makes more (perceived) noise than usual, or even when a game takes too long to load. 3DOs are not easy to replace, and they're at the age where ...

I was wondering this myself. I came across the AZ/BZ versions when trying to complete my 3DO game list. You mentioned that the Saturn version is more arcadey, and the biggest way I noticed that was the 3DO version is a little slower (ie. more realistic), whereas the PSX and Saturn versions are a little faster (ie. arcade-like). (My attempt at) A Definitive 3DO Game List

Most of the consoles I collect for are pretty straightforward: Find a release list, buy games, check them off the list. However, the 3DO isn't proving to be quite so simple, as I'm sure you all know. That being said, I'm compiling various lists and bits of info in an attempt to make the most complet...
