The Let's Play threads on those forums that get completed all eventually get moved to the "Let's Play Archive" (http://lparchive.org). I would have created the thread here otherwise.
Sounds like the pay to view thing is probably temporary.

Argh, it's been pay-to-post, but it looks like they've made it pay-to-read to get more money. I paid 10 bucks to post, and I hope I didn't just pay for a suddenly-exclusive forum. Hopefully you can access it again later.Trev wrote:Tried to take a peek, but it wouldn't let me since I'm not registered.

I remembered PO'ed fondly, so I tried it out again. I had remembered fumbling with the controls, though, so I was somewhat prepared to chalk it up to a problem exacerbated by the framerate limitations. On the hardware, the framerate was pretty annoying. So I put it in the emulator instead. PO'ed see...

I added the remaining Immercenary tracks to the google drive. I was never able to figure out how to extract the music straight from the CD image. I could get it into a format that was discernable, but sounded scratchy. I ended up using 4DO to pull the music out while I was playing the game. Good eno...

Did this myself yesterday. I was well impressed by the smoother visuals, but the sound suffered as a result on my system. Oh well... maybe in another decade I'll play a smoother version. :D Yep, the same thing happened to me! I noticed this too with Killing Time on 4DO. Some of the games that would...

My 3do is borked so I will have to answer via playing games on 4DO. I was playing Immercenary, that game is tough to wrap the brain around. Save states help with that game quite a bit though. But I stopped playing it, and I dont think I will pick it up again anytime soon. Hey that's a coincidence. ...

Let's Play Immercenary
Edit: This Let's Play is finished and archived: http://lparchive.org/Immercenary/ I've created a thread on the Something Awful forums for a "Let's Play" of Immercenary. "Let's Play" is merely documenting playing through a game. In this case, I'm trying to be informative. I'm doing it in screenshot ...

Cool! A turbo button! I don't know a whole lot, but I haven't heard of this. Is it really the development workstation for creating 3DO games? If it is, I would have expected to see a macintosh operating system on it. At least, I know you had to use a macintosh to do any coding. Maybe this is a secon...

I added: * Lucienne's Quest * Ballz the Director's Cut * Lost Eden * Killing Time ... and most importantly.... * Plumbers Don't Wear Ties ! Yes indeed, you can now relive this the stellar action-adventure at work, in the car, anywhere! I have extracted a specific, generation-defining quote into its ...

I suppose you have to "trigger" the existence of the Dynarri. I think you might have to go to the Arilou homeworld for a lot of the conversation bits. I know that their homeworld is where they tell you about the shipwreck where the Dynarri was found. That might be enough to get the ball on the Umgah...

Unorganized 3DO game music
I ripped some 3DO game music this weekend. I didn't want to put this on the 3DOOverture section since it's pretty disorganized. The track names are simply the names of the tracks off the original discs. I wasn't able to find all the music for some of the games. They're MP3 at 128k, I'm not picky abo...

It's indeed true. There is no such option in 4DO. It would be pretty difficult to do in 4DO, though. Since it's a low-level emulator, it currently does not know what files are being accessed. It knows what sectors of the CD are being read (2k blocks), but it doesn't know the files behind them. It al...

I hated it. I also hate that so many people liked it... Bane holds a whole city hostage for months and plans to blue it up later? What? And the rest of the world just shrugs and ignores the problem? So there's a jail with a wall to climb out of? Huh? Why is there a safety line? Is the jail worried a...

Beware the NES versions of you want to avoid old RPG quirks. I've played 1 and 4 on the NES... In 1, you have to go to the menu to do anything in the overworld. So, if you want to talk to someone, you open the menu, then select "talk". This is true for doors, treasures, and even stairs! I hear the r...

The only way I know is to install the 3do SDK on a Maconitosh with a very old operating system. This can be done with a virtual machine. You can program in C from there. It takes a long time to set up, but it can be done, and it works! Someone from the Freedo project had said they would make the 3do...

Wow, a thread on Night Trap that is nearing the third page. I'm impressed! Well "3DO has nothing but fmv games" so what else are we gonna talk about. Supreme Warrior, of course! ;) Ugh. 3do Night Trap used a save file to transfer from CD1 to CD2. Could that be used to "save" your progess? It...

@Ewhac Here's a pic of the 3DO software you loved so much :D [horrifying image] AAAGGHHHH!!! Yup, that's it. How we ever got anything done on that tiny little screen, I'll never know. Oh, wait, I didn't use that tiny little screen. I used an Amiga networked to the UNIX server... Hmm, looks like I h...
