Re: Ever seen your gaming or collection photos...
Hmm, I have personally never seen it but have heard of it in the case of them being used as stock photos like what happened to Lemmi. It's pretty crappy actually. If you can't take pics, then don't sell your stuff. It's misleading to use someone elses pics.

Re: Kotaku List - Top 10 Worst Consoles [3do#6]
Well, what can we say? The 3DO, much like the Atari Jaguar, is just meant to be scoffed at I guess. The arguments in that video make as much sense as so many people bitching about the Atari jaguar Pad being it's huge downfall when hardly any of them have ever even touched one. The whole list itself ...

Re: 3DO NFS Competition...Who's the best in the world?
Perhaps I should jump in on this. Need for Speed is a really great game. Thing is, I don't know that I have ever really sat down and tried to play it seriously. I always messed around in it and enjoyed the visuals and the fact that it really feels like a driving simulator. I never really tried to go...

Re: Escape Monster Manor questions
Yeah, those vids are surely worth checking out. Get some lowdown too on the origins of the game. The thing that's really cool about it is that it started out as a tech demo and was so loved they made it into a full game. I love the sound effects and music for this game, which is actually why I think...

Chris, this thread needs to be pinned for new projects and the like for the Jaguar. Please do. No need to make another one when already exists.

Seriously, finish this and take my money. I adore KLAX and really think it's one of those "Lost" tites that people just never really gave much of a chance with. You want arcade perfect bliss, check the Turbografx 16 version, it's sweet, like candy. The voices aren't as clear, but everything else is ...

Re: downfall+
I'm not overly excited with the game on CD, and some spruced up graphics won't convince me to buy the cart. I consider this a 'mini-game' since it is so retro, like what, 16k game on an 8-bit computer? I won't pay good money for mini-games unless I can get a CD or cart with dozens of games on it. T...

Hmm, I just noticed I'm about to hit 1,000 posts. Took me long enough I guess. LOL Too bad I can't import my number from JSII. Did cross my mind that. I dropped under 2,000 posts when JS-II disappeared... however, I was aware that certain, more dedicated community members over there (i.e. like your...

Answers, there are no secret room, per say. However, there are some really nice things you will find if you finish the entire map. No for the run and also that is your only weapon. The game does get harder and also the monsters get faster. The spiders are a pain in the ass especially in large cluste...

I seem to have missed this? Then again, I don't frequent the Atari Age forum too much these days. There is a thread for "New Releases" for the Jaguar that may be a good idea to pin like we did over at JSII*? Chris?

After delving back into some of my Japanese titles for the Playstation (yes the original one) I played Harmful Park for the first time in MANY years. I'm telling you, i9f there is a more obscure and not recognized shooter for the Playstation that is missed quite often, it's this game. Only released ...

Mysterious Song for the Jaguar has been cancelled, sadly. It was a JRPG style game released for the Turbografx CD in 2013. Very cool game though.MegaData wrote:Have a link/description on "Mysterious Song?"

Heretic! Very cool stuff. Hopefully this see's release. I always wondered back in the day why none of the consoles got this game as it really was good and would have been fun to play.

I just want to add that this thread is how I found this forum. The more I play the Indie Title Demon House on the XBOX 360, the more I feel like I am playing a game very much like Escape From Monster Manor. I don't know exactly why, but the game feels to have the same kid of quality about it to me. You should check it out to see what I mean.

Re: Let's Play/Drown Out - Way of The Warrior, Samurai Shodo
Another question to add to my earlier ones: was there any scuttlebutt that Crystal Dynamics actually did get in trouble with SNK for making the game too good and keeping the scaling effects? There was a claim over on Jaguar Sector to that effect, and IIRC the poster said that a planned 3DO port of ...

Nice write up. The only real things I can add to any of this is, am I the only person on the planet that actually really enjoys Way of the Warrior? Also, am I the only person that recognizes how much more deep the fighting engine is in Samurai Shodown over Street Fighter II? I love both games for di...

Never realized how generic that poor cartridge label looked though. It's funny you know. Although I agree (re: generic) I can't help but think it somehow makes it look cooler in a way. A game cart, with a black label, with a HUGE standard red font, entitled: WORMS. Looks more menacing than it shoul...

Also, on the LCD versions, the Start, Select, and Home (PS) buttons are round whereas the original models are oval. Almost like they are pulling a Sega Saturn, eh?
