Test them before you waste your time and money. Sure, some do fail, Rubycon 105° caps from 91-96 were a serious issue, the black ones, not so much the browns.

Ive never recapped any Panasonic product ever, 4x 3DOs included, and only one died. From salt air corrosion. I doubt replacing all those capacitors is worth the effort, some may fail, but not all of them will. Mine are all still prefect and clear. Get an ESR tester and leave the good parts where the...

No, the guns dont work on -E consoles, and its not because of the 50Hz, its because the console scales the original 640x480i into a 768x567i window, meaning the the console thinks youre aiming at a different part of the screen.

I loved it, but the Saturn version is a fair bit smoother and controls nicer.

Id avoid the FZ-10-E, or any other -E models for that matter. The 640x480 resolution of the games is displayed as a window inside a 768x576 viewable area.

Maps 'O Death wont run on a Japan console either.

Those 6 button Mega Drive pads and i reckon BOTH versions of the Saturn pads were great.

The second version Panasonic control pad is certainly better in the D-pad region than the first, i had both brand new and the smaller version was much more usable.

Neither have anything on a Saturn or Mega Drive pad.

I had a Goldstar toward the end of time back in the day, bought it for the games it had with it. No match for the FZ10...

Yeah ive got that one as well, although i found it quite inaccurate at times, but the video quality is good.

I prefer the 3DO versions over all others though, the only one i played in the arcade was Mad Dog 2, and it was on a 3DO based machine anyway, so it was identical to my home version.

Now have all the live shooters in long boxes, will be good to get into a bit of shooting again
