Playstation vs. Saturn vs. 3DO

I've only ever played Gex on 3DO and briefly for the Saturn. I remember being impressed with the Saturn port although I still prefer it on 3DO version. I heard the PS1 edition was lacking in certain areas. Thoughts?

If so name the device or brand of adapter used to channel video through your Real Interactive Multiplayer; or Sanyo or Goldstar, which ever 3DO faction you belong to. Here's mine.

Console: Panasonic 3DO FZ-10
Converter: XRGB-3 unit (Micomsoft)

Didn't realize the 3DO hardware was so fragile. Looks like it's strickly 3DO pads/Sticks for me. Does Hori produce custom Arcade sticks for 3DO? I recall reading this on a forum some where.

They have about the same lead points. For experimental purposes I plugged the Genesis cable directly into the 3DO and it fits. Only problem is the controls aren't registering, how to make it work? Super Street Fighter II' Turbo/X:GMC looks better on 3DO via RGB mod than it does Dreamcast. Dreamcast is missing Gex too along with Need for Speed, Sailor Moon, Crash N Burn, Eye of Typhoon and a few other gems. I'll just play my American copy. Though it is odd they would leave out the blood for Panasonic's system and not the other versions.

Both of you should fire up the Panasonic and insert your Japanese copies of SSF2X:GMC. Press hard/fierce punch on any character and see if blood comes out. That ought to do the trick. Shmups are great, I tend to play casually as to not wear out this genres novelty. Ashame they didn't release any single disc shmups on Panasonic's flahship legacy hardware. That would have been epic.

How do they stack up to DVD's? I've often wondered about quality of the output. Think 3DO can be modified to play Super Video CD's?

I'm aware the US 3DO edition (Super Street Fighter II' Turbo) is highly censored compared to it's Arcade, Saturn, and PSOne counter-parts. But what about the original Japanese version? Shmups are my livelihood, so are fighting games, platformers, and beat-'em-ups.

Speaking of shmups I wonder if 3DO houses any.

Thing is I do take care of them, I just become paranoid when it comes to this sort of thing. But maybe your right... I should just stop worrying and concentrate on buying newer 3DO games.
