Re: Theme Park thread

Watching this recent video with this guy and his kids building a park was very relaxing and uplifting.

Also learned a few things.

1. Happiness of Park goers influenced by mascots.

2. Further research lowers prices of rides

I found one graphical glitch regarding the hedge maze. It acts squirrelly when you try to set it down.

Theme Park

Anyone here play Theme Park on 3D0? From the videos I've seen it looks like the best version.

We need to share tips and tricks for this game.

Re: Theme Park thread

Someone's thoughts on YouTube This game was almost impossible to make any decent money to go purchase other properties. Making the park large with multiple guests, MURDERED the frame rate. I could get these parks to crawl at like 1 frame every 2-3 seconds. The reason for this is the AI controlled by...

Re: Theme Park thread

I have been playing this a bit. Now according to some magazine reviews I read there were a couple things that I expected to happen that would be a large part of my Theme Park on the Jaguar experience. 1. Slowdown. 2. Graphical glitches #2 has been a large part of why I have held off on buying this g...

Re: I got Syndicate in the mail today...

So below half?

I have the Jaguar version.
I'll try that.

On the Jag version the arrow-option to center/adjust the screen doesn't work. C-arrow(D-pad) to adjust the left panel does work. Does it work on the 3D0?

Re: Theme Park thread

I have not got into playing this yet but watching the attract screens this engine seems to be a bit smoother than Syndicates. Though Theme Park may use Syndicate's engine I think they reworked some subroutines on their second go around. When as much action happens in Syndicate like I'm seeing in The...

Theme Park thread

Since there isn't one here, I'd like to start one. I bought this game new in the box. had it for a few months never really touched it because I don't like micromanagement games. But I figured I would get into it give her a run. Quite a lot involved in it according to the manual. So here is a YouTube...

Re: SkunkBox for the SkunkBoard!

Woke up.

Opened phone.

Looked around the net

Thought 'fuck! Did 8 bit demo coders overrun the Jag community and start pumping shit back onto the internet?'

Realised it was just the regular refugees from the 8 bit demo scene and went off to find bacon.

Have a good day folks.

Re: Possible replacement CDrom drive units for FZ-1 (new success

I have been back to this place several times now and everyone there is telling me nobody who does that works here. There's a guy who comes in every now and then and that sounds like him. But this guy worked there. He waited on me. I bought an Xbox 360 controller from him and a Sega CD copy of Jurass...

Re: Sewer Shark

Is there any way an SD card can be made for the 3DO? And perhaps plugged into some port in the back that will load up CD images?

If I we're rich I'd have cd mechanisms remade for the 3D0 so it would never have to die.

Here is a link to the PSX maps converted to PC if anyone is poking at this for themselves. However in them may be clues to how they reduced the complexity and answer the question be...

The Blitter Interrupt Stack

Atari had suggested in one of their developer docs that the way to keep the Blitter (the processor in the Jaguar used to copy textures or draw shaded polugons) busy was to form a stack of commands, and just load them into the Blitter each time it finishes its current operation, so thats what I tried...
