Re: Jaguar Sector II down
Nice to see you made your way here Walter. Welcome back. As for Jay, not sure what to tell you. I know he has become quite disenchanted with the Jaguar community. It's sad too because all it took was a couple idiots to ruin everything. I'd name names, but I believe it would be better suited for PM'...

Hi all! It's funny how I got the word you all are here! I have T2KFreeker on my friends list for Xbox Live so I've PMed him when he'd pop on and he told me the news! I haven't been here in years! I hate that we'd lost JSII I hope we haven't JaySmith2000. Walter! Good to have you onboard d...

...used in a video on Youtube or in a magazine article? Well, this sort of caught me off guard, but I was watching a video on Youtube earlier (re: 3DO etc) and a picture I took a while back of my fully boxed FZ-1 just popped up in this dudes video. Was a bit of a surreal 'double take' moment. Still,...

Re: Exclusive or not?
I like the way this list of Saturn exclusives does things: ARC - Arcade port (Daytona USA, Virtua Fighter 2) CC - Classic collection that consists of either original or slightly reworked versions of older games (Sega Ages Vol.1, Phantasy Star Collection) PC - Game had a PC release, which makes the ...

Just play Zero Divide 2 (PS1) or Zero Divide 3 (SAT)... the pair o' ye.
That should satisfy that need for some one on one cyborg fighting action!

Re: Let's Play/Drown Out - Way of The Warrior, Samurai Shodo
Hmmm ... I've never heard the SEGA cd port described as 'near arcade perfection' - it's missing some effects, not to mention an entire character! Fair enough Trev. But I feel that aside from the 3DO port, SS on SegaCD (aside the character omission/inclusion of Amakusa as playable) was the next best...

Re: 3DOish games
King's Field on PS1 has a definite 3DO vibe to it.
It might be technically more accomplished than what would be possible on 3DO outright, but still, it has that feel to it:

Re: Let's Play/Drown Out - Way of The Warrior, Samurai Shodo
I watched the whole WOTW/SS video a while back now (1hr long??!) and, from what I heard, quite a bit of what was said fell into speculation territory for me vs some of the comments that were made (WOTW plays more life SF and unlike MK, IIRC??!?!?!). I'd have to go through the WHOLE video again to pi...

I give them props for being cryptic - they'd force me to pick them up just so I could check the back and see what kind of games they actually are! Re: A good reason to play 3DO
For me, I love AVP! I actually think it's better to both Po'ed & Killing Time. I don't care for Doom, although clearly the Jag version trumps the embarrassing 3DO port in every way except music. I think Wolfenstein 3D on 3DO is superior to the Jag version in many ways however. I say that as someone...

Re: A good reason to play 3DO
3DO was the FPS console back in the day! Hmmm. Jaguar had awesome versions of Doom and Wolf 3D (updated > the original), not to mention AVP! 3DO had Killing Time as it's primary killer app, supported by a great port of Wolf 3D and PO'ED and a poor mans Doom (sorry!). Never realized how generic that poor cartridge label looked though. It's funny you know. Although I agree (re: generic) I can't help but think it somehow makes it look cooler in a way. Re: 3DOish games
Hm.. I wouldn't say Target Terror feels like a 3DO game. Or at least, not as much as it feels like a mid-to-late '90s, American-developed light gun shooter (Maximum Force, Area 51). After all, it is a port of an arcade game that was developed by some of the same people that had a hand in making som...

Okay. So, in simple terms, we want developers, we don't want belly aching about price or people trying to scam other people? Even on a farty little forum like ours, we aren't without high drama. Yet it is insignificant compared with the drama surrounding Jaguar forums. Why is this? Simply because, the Atari jaguar still has a VERY active homebrew and development community, outputting new hardware and software for the Jag...

I'd be interested to hear such speculations straight from the horses mouth too, if I'm honest. I own this game across multiple formats (inc. Home Cart & 3DO) as well as the other 16-bit versions in the past (MD & SNES ports are not even close and never played the MegaCD/SEGA-CD release) and the 3DO ...
