Re: Street Fighter II on the... Virtual Boy?

Ok. Saw this about 2 weeks ago now. As I've said elsewhere, I was really impressed with this. Someone made the throwaway comment "just looks like the SNES version"... but being the fighting game nut I am, I can honestly tell you that (aside the obvious colour deficiency) this version has more animat...

Re: Being honest

To be honest, I quite like JSII - but I've always kept a distance from any drama. I'm not established nor involved enough to warrant involvement there. As someone who only joined in '09, I think it's fair to say Freeker, that I missed all the drama anyway. I will say, a fair few members have dropped...

Re: 22 Prince of Persia versions

The SMS/Game Gear versions are nice. Basically very similar to the classic computer games, but with slightly textured/upgraded art. It's funny you know. I actually think all that extra 'detail' makes what could have been a nice looking version (i.e. Amiga & NES) look like shite. I realise it's all ...

Re: 22 Prince of Persia versions

Ok. I watched that entire video. And one thing was pretty clear: I reckon all the ports were pretty solid. Even the ones on the lesser platfoms. I'll have to concur with The Experience on this one... the MD one, sans the colour palette for the actual character (imo) - overall, looks the best. I'll h...

Re: 22 Prince of Persia versions

I only had access to the SNES, MD & Amiga versions growing up. I think all 3 were great, although, the SNES version is my personal favourite of those overall. I enjoyed the music and atmosphere more > the other two. The SNES version also added areas to the levels to change things up a bit > the orig...

Re: Need for Speed ports - video comparison

I hear this "the 3DO version is the best version of Need for Speed" quite often, but for me personally, it's not really that straight cut. This is by no means to say that I don't love NFS on 3DO, because I do. However, I also really like the PS1 & Saturn version, of which, owning all 3, the PS1 vers...

Re: Just imagine...

Good choices guys. We need more esoteric choices mind you. As the popular ones I have done. And have been done before. We need to dig deeper!! That's fair enough :) However, I literally picked the ten games I felt would most likely draw someone (an outsider, if you will) to a 3DO and want to play i...

Although evilBay is a great substitution for éBay, I was thinking of a more sour take on it personally like: éBay = replaced by: Flip4Profit.com Especially entertaining when individuals come by to try and quickly sell their items in the tried and tested: "Hi all :) . Here's version A... Ah... it's not though, is it? It's actually an edited version of C without the black box. As far as I remember, the head is missing IF you start the game with the disc in the console from being powered OFF to ON. If you turn the Saturn on first WITHOUT the game in, let it arrive at the bios screen and then put the disc in the tray and start from the menu, the game will play normally ther...
