As we are in the midst of a "Seventh Generation" console war, I'd want to know Trip's opinion that with the history of the 3DO, and over a decade worth of consoles since, does he think there can ever be "one" manufacturer that will pioneer a ubiquitous "black box" that everyone has on their TV like ...

I remember picking up the very first issue of Next Generation magazine and gawking at all the gorgeous tech displayed in its glossy pages ... the Jag, the 3DO, the speculation that Sony would be sued for "dumping" the PSX in America ... etc ... I had just bought the 3DO and Next Gen debuted at almos...

Wow, I forgot all about my DS! I love it, the only problem is that there are too many great games coming out at once (I guess that is a good poblem to have though) I am hoping to see a revival of the point & click style adventure games on it, and can't way to try Hotel Dusk, (it is getting ...

I bought a Wii two weeks ago and am as addicted to it today as I was when I first hooked it up and it was "new." The Wiimote is not a gimmick, and with the third party developers lining up the console is sure to have lasting appeal. Zelda: Twilight Princess is simply an epic story and is brilliant. ...

Under the letter of the law, the scenario you're describing is illegal. You are, under some circumstances, granted permission to make back-ups of your goods, but you are required to make those backups yourself, you cannot simply buy the product then download the ISO, in effect copying another person...

OK. Follow-up ... between the JM1 (Japanese Mouse?) and JS1 (Japanese Stick?) which is more rare? Are there simply FZ-M1 and FZ-S1 versions (US English packaging)?

I figured that! Looks like the parasites have figured out that the auction didn't require pre-auth either. It's being run up by the kiddies now.

FIFA, without question. The golf games on the 3DO were a chore because of the disc access/load times. I was never too keen on the Madden franchise -- I live in Columbus, OH, so between Ohio State, Cleveland Browns and Cincinnati Bengals, which do you think was worth watching throughout the 90s? :win...

Unhealthy NES obsession (we don't need no stinkin emulators)

Hmm ... A brand new car or every licensed NES game (all 670) and peripheral (x4 for you and friends) Nintendo ever made in the 80s? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=110083483658 No, this isn't my auction, but it's going to be interesting to watch, so I wanted to mention it. At $31,...

weisguy119, My personal top 5 favorites for the 3DO are Road Rash, FIFA, Twisted, Return Fire, and Star Control II. Now, being that you're a Way of the Warrior fan, and I've never really gotten into fighting games myself short of the year MK was released, I'm probably not the best person to ask for ...

Even though I've already posted in another thread or two, I'll just give my shout out that I'm here, and enjoying the fact that there is a dedicated 3DO forum. I'm in my early 30s and live in central Ohio, USA. I was hooked to games at a very, very young age. Grew up with the Atari 2600 and an Apple...

Very cool. Would you care if I borrowed some of your GUI layout ideas for the design of my own app? Are the country flags your design as well?

Panasonic Mouse FZ-JM1

I remember seeing this in the mid-90s, and I've seen the mouse pop up on eBay from time to time as well. What titles does the mouse work with? Is there a reason to have one? (Aside from just being able to say that you have one, obviously. )

My favorites in 2007 are the same ones I had in 1994: Road Rash, Return Fire, Twisted, FIFA, and Star Control II.

Those were the five reasons I gave to my wife when I explained to her that I was about to buy back my post high school memories on eBay a few years ago.

Interesting site ... I figured I'd register and start here. My introduction to the 3DO was in the summer of 1994. I was working at a VHS rental store in an outdoor strip mall at the time, when a video game trading shop opened in the unit next door to ours. I used to walk over there at lunch and play...
