Yes, DOOM is indeed brilliant.
The 3DO version, not so much.. Unless you want to shrink the screen size down to about three inches wide (Recommend playing it on a 60" television, in that case ).
Anyways, better late than never, 3DOkid.

Deep Fear is really, really cheap when it comes to imports, and all of the voice acting is in english. I've only played it for an hour or so, and I don't remember exactly the quality of the FMV.. all I can say is that the VA was surely made for drinking games. ;) Unfortunately, most of the Saturn's ...

The 3DO's popularity in America was hard to gauge. I didn't know a single person that ever owned one, exept the guy I eventually bought my Goldstar off of. Not one. Single. Person. But our local Best Buy had a large 3DO selection, and I remember really getting interest in the system when the shelves...

Ahhh hardware expansion, that makes a bit more sense. You'll have to give me a title of one of those later games that looks good using the base console. Because all the games I have and have seen the FMV is just awful. Yes there are some pretty bad ones for the 3DO as well but as far as the average...

PS, if anyone has any feedback on Lemmings, I'm interested in that one as well. A local shop has it, but it's a little expensive for my tastes. I think it's the only version I haven't played, but I'm guessing there's the potential it's the best one out there. Sadly, the 3DO version does not support...

Battle Chess - Great port of the PC game, if you've played it and enjoyed it in the past, you will enjoy it on the 3DO. Escape From Monster Manor - If you like very simplistic Wolfenstein clones, then this should do the trick for ya. I personally enjoy it. Has one of the smoothest framerates on the...

I personally liked my original deck. It was comfortable, it was loud, and having my MP3s as ringtones was awesome. Also, when I changed the case on it, it looked pretty bad-ass in the dark because the material was cheap and the light from inside the unit would shine through. :) If you planned on cha...

Thanks for the feedback guys. I wasn't actually expecting any replies, so thank you. :) Tinman--What other auction site do you use? I haven't had much luck finding the late-release stuff on eBay. I'm missing The Rifts, System Rush (The one I want to play the most), Warhammer, Atari Volume I, X-Men L...

Nokia N-Gage, the little handheld that never was.
Hey guys, this is a write-up I just posted over at AtariAge. I figured it would make a good addition to the general forums here, since, well... we're all clearly big fans of failed, dead systems. The N-Gage launched in 2003 and was poised to take over the portable market with its unique fe...

**Warning: Shameless plug** When I get bored, I make YouTube videos of games. I also like to talk over them. Hopefully some find them educational and/or entertaining. Having recently picked up a FZ-10, I've made a few 3DO videos as well! So far I've got vids of Out of This World, Trip'd, Icebreaker...

Old thread, but I thought I'd put my two-cents in here. Iron Soldier 3 is my personal favorite in the series. The entire game is texture-mapped, giving it the consistent look IS2 didn't have. Gameplay is quicker, and there are many more types of upgrades. It keeps the same kind of industrial-esque s...

Hey guys, I'm new here. I found this via the AtariAge forums. I've had multiple 3DO systems in the past. Originally had a Goldstar unit in the mid-'90s towards the end of the system's life, and then manged to score a FZ-10 in the early 2000's through collecting. I sold all of my stuff a few years ba...
