Re: downfall+

The Jaguar CD, though it has few titles, actually has, IMHO, half the Jag's killer-apps on it, like Battlemorph, IS2 (yea, that one's on cart, but more expensive and missing awesome music), Word Tour Racing , VLM. Ugh, is that some edutainment title? No thanks. :P What? WTR? I'm guessing you are jo...

Re: Robinson's Requiem-3DO or Jaguar version??...

I have both versions, and they are nearly identical, except for a few differences, like the map feature mentioned above in the Jag version, and the Jag version also shows a skyline in the background like the computer versions, were on the 3DO it's just grey. The 3DO version does have a nice fog-effe...

Re: Sad news

I mourn deeply for his loss. He was in my life for nearly twenty years as my opponent in my favorite racing game of all time. I'd even thought at times about tracking him down, just to say thanks for his work in this game. He was far too young, only 5 years older than I, the same age as my older bro...

Re: What are your favorite Jaguar games?

Notice that my top 4 are all CD games, which is why I can't see not owning a Jaguar CD, personally. Yeah, two of the CD titles are available on cartridge, but HS cart sucks (compared to a fantastic CD version) and IS2 cart costs half the price of a Jag CD or more... Yeah, yeah, yeah... Hover...

Re: What are your favorite Jaguar games?

I would have had Battlesphere on my list somewhere, If I still owned it, but I decided to keep my list to games I own and can play. I also would have put Doom II up there too, but again, I had to sell my skunkboard (hopefully this new run will go and i can get another) so Doom II isn't an option for...

What are your favorite Jaguar games?

Well, I started this topic in the 3DO forum, and felt the Jag forum should have one too. Ten or less, tell why, or don't. Mine are: Battlemorph (CD) World Tour Racing (CD) Iron Soldier 2 (CD) Hover Strike: UL (CD) Iron Soldier SkyHammer I-war Doom Alien Vs. Predator Wolfenstein 3D Notice that my top...

What are your favorite 3DO games?

I'm sure a topic like this has come and gone many times over the years, but I was just thinking about it while deciding what 3DO game I wanted to play tonight, and I think there are a lot of new people around here now, with the addition of the Jag forums and what not, so I'm asking...and telling. If...

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic

Well, Dan I., I'm pretty sure, has been in charge of any Jag presence at MGC since 2004, if there is a presence, I think he makes it happen. I know the Goat Store guys have done stuff Jag related in the past too, at MGC, but they have more than just the Jag to worry about, so I think most years it's...

Re: Midwest Gaming Classic

Dan Iocavelli (sorry if I spelled his name wrong) is usually all over Jagfest at the MGC, he's generally the one to talk to about it. He hangs at AA Jag forums mostly these days, his handle is his name. But I'm pretty sure you know him, he was there about ten years ago when you and I were also there...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

I think the English name of 'Killing Time' is humorous because it has two meanings; 'Killing Time' (a time to kill) and also an American expression "Killing Time" means to waste time or doing something just to make time pass. :P

Was a bit silly just posting this at AA, there are loads of people who want one who are not members there. I'm member of AA, I just don't care too much for the Jag Forum there, now for all the forum on AA I don't have any problems with. 8) I agree 100%, the 8-bit and ST forums I frequent a lot and ...

Re: Giving Killing Time another chance

Yeah, it sat on my shelf unplayed for years, but I'm learning that it's a worth-while game and worth overlooking the control issues. Definitely get it. IMHO, it's better than Immercenary, Doom, EFMM, Cyberdillo and the Iron Angel games on the 3DO, the only ones I prefer to it are Space Hulk, Po'ed a...

Giving Killing Time another chance

Killing Time, an FPS that I've always wanted to love (FPS's are one of my favorite genres), but... I love the graphics, the story is interesting, really looks like it should be one of the top FPS games of the era, right after Doom (on anything but the bad 3DO version) and the Jaguar's AvP. It is act...

That's cool, enjoy. But why don't you just leave the Jag CD attached permanently? I've had mine plugged in continuously since the 90's, never had any problems, carts and CD's always work. Isn't it a pain to be unplugging and plugging in the CD unit every time you play a Jag CD game? That's why they ...
