Dreamcast, form and functionality in one little white box... it's a thing of beauty!
Also mine hasn't turned tequilla yellow unlike many a SNES.

All valid points UT. My own personal use of Steam tends to be for Valve games and the indie titles. The indie titles don't require an internet connection, they play offline. Games like Defcon, Audiosurf, Darwinia and World of Goo, I picked them all up in a Steam sale where they were sold for peanuts...

Steam started it by having PC gamers pay full price for just an ISO with no box, artwork, or manual. I love the old PC game big boxes. Those things are gorgeous. Now we have this. I find Steam and especially valve developed ware to be the one redeeming example of how games in the future should be. ...

I was looking at that exact auction! :D The power adapter is a standard molex connection, so no problem getting power to the unit. Just tried a power up and the hard drive I took out is happily chirping away, so at least one of these discs is still spinning over a decade on! Hopefully it's just a ca...

3DO Dev Stations
So I have a couple of 3DO Development Stations which are in point of fact really really old Apple Macintosh Quadra computers circa 92' - 95'. I've tried to link them up to a display in the past but get no picture on the monitor once they're turned on. Any Macintosh types in here that can give me som...

Right - so then. If it's sh*t can I moan furiously? I'm sure you'll find something to bitch about! As long as you get a good mix of people on Left 4 Dead to play with, it's an excellent experience. Of course the occassional knob joins the game who runs around screaming and shooting at you. D...

I liked how the film tricked you into thinking 'Ahh, this must be coming up to the dramatic ending!' Then this occurred about three times throughout the film! Great story telling and the portrayal of JOKER was sublime. Otherwise I didn't get the impression the other actors were particularly stretche...

Google Chrome
Anyone try the new browser from google yet?
www.google.co.uk
It's very very fast! Excellent at multi-tasking as well. I watched a streaming video whilst browsing the net and downloading a huge file on a standard broadband connection with no slowdown!

Without being too specific and before I begin I should mention it's not a game! Basically the prototype I have was never released due to conflicting interests of the developer and the holders of this particular intellectual property. Anyway to cut a long story short the developers went ahead and mad...

Burnout legends is possibly the best PSP game :) Waiting for the magic 'Fiver' mark then I think I'll buy this one! I still buy new games, just gotta know where to look on-line for the good deals. Picked up a Digital Download Via Steam called Audiosurf. If your not familiar it's a game that creates...

Increasingly, I find myself get excited about a game, on the very edge of pre-order, to be informed of some silly addition to the game that turns me cold. Can't beat the anticipation! I recently picked up Ridge Racer for the PSP brand new just under a fiver! Same for Mercury, Every Extend Extra and...

That's probably a good policy for saving money! I've just started to question why I bother buying games on release. After a little study of these matters they seem to drop by about £10 over the course of a couple of months. So I'm reforming my buying habits, picking up the odd older game for a few p...

best part about the wii is virtual console - they've just added the C64 titles to the list here in Australia - v nice. Maybe some 3do oneday? We can at least hope/dream I've never really gotten into this whole repackaging of the same games I played years ago in original form. Emulators serve this pu...
