Re: What are your favorite Jaguar games?

LOL! 60% is not nearly identical! Edit: O.K., I miss understood, I thought 4 different, not two...so I guess 80% is close enough to nearly identical... Haha, no worries! Incidentally, someone started a Hover Strike: Cart vs CD thread over on AA. My top 10 cartridge games: Missile Command 3D Tempest 2000 Worms Alien Vs. Predator Doom Protector: SE Super Burnout Power Drive Rally Ultra Vortek Iron Soldier That is a VERY solid top 10, right there... 8) If you check back, our top 10's are near identical sans Cybermorph & Zero5 and MC3D & Worms!

Hmmm. A top 10 3DO titles huh? Not sure I've even attempted to compile on of these before! Here goes... Crash N Burn Killing Time Need for Speed Pa'Taank Road Rash Samurai Shodown Star Fighter Starblade Super Street Fighter II X Trip'D - Honourable mentions that didn't quite make it... Another World...

Re: What are your favorite Jaguar games?

Notice that my top 4 are all CD games, which is why I can't see not owning a Jaguar CD, personally. Yeah, two of the CD titles are available on cartridge, but HS cart sucks (compared to a fantastic CD version) and IS2 cart costs half the price of a Jag CD or more... Yeah, yeah, yeah... Okay,...

Re: 3DO Release Dates

Amazing work Devin! Thanks for compiling and sharing out these lists. I will admit, coming from the UK, I am also very/more interested in how/when games were released here. But, more importantly still, I have no idea how many (exactly) 3DO games were officially released in the UK/EURO. A definitive ...

If I'm honest, if I rethink this, it irks me somewhat that Jay just shut the door on us all and (effectively) just told us all to get out and f*ck off! I understand, of course, that the forum is his and is his to do whatever he wants with, but to offer no foreseeable closure period (hey guys, JS-II ...

Just wanted to chip in, as someone who's known you (Gunstar) via the JS-II forums for sometime vs this 108 Stars dude (re: FFL!)... To be honest, 108 was going on with himself and then you came out and told him to stick his opinion up his ass (essentially). You seemed to take any obvious criticisms ...

Danny Galaga! 8) I approached TrekMD too, but he seems quite heavily invested in that RVG forum right now. RVG is a general retro forum i.e. not Jaguar centric. I explained I thought this was a great place for us all to congregate, along with the 3DO community (the ONLY 3DO community... I think?!).....

Re: Kotaku List - Top 10 Worst Consoles [3do#6]

The Gamate: a not so interesting story... A mate at school had one that he brought in one day. Looked like a GameGear, but had yellow buttons and a monochrome screen (a lá Gameboy). It had around 4 games with it and, they all intrigued me... if I'm honest. For whatever STUPID reason, I decided I wan...

Basically, I have to say, I'm really liking the ongoing marriage we have going on around here between the Jaguar and 3DO community 8) I realise that a good many of us here have a penchant and respect for both platforms, so that helps... but in general, I really think the integration we are seeing of...

The CD32 and it's CD32 releases, make the console, EASILY one of the worst consoles ever made. I know... I've owned one! Ugh. Like Trev said, saying UV is the best fighter on the Jag IS a backhanded compliment. Compared to a lot of the library, it really was solid and professional effort. Animation isn't as smooth as KNinja, but the game plays better and the characters are far more interesting. The only one's I'm not too f...

It won't happen. At least, I don't think so. It doesn't help either that Reboot aren't very open to "Fan Feedback". Re: Escape Monster Manor questions

It may seem strange, but the absence of formalized, semi-mandatory "secret" areas is one of the things I liked about EFMM. When a game expects me to meticulously check every bit of wall in each level, collect-a-thon style, so I can get that percentage up to 100% in the end-of-level summary...well, ...

I'm not overly excited with the game on CD, and some spruced up graphics won't convince me to buy the cart. I consider this a 'mini-game' since it is so retro, like what, 16k game on an 8-bit computer? I won't pay good money for mini-games unless I can get a CD or cart with dozens of games on it. T...
