The best, and among the hardest to get hold of are Australian released Goldstars - 240v and NTSC. Best of both worlds!

I used to just switch to ntsc mode and play - Australian tv's are PAL but Goldstar in their wisdom released ntsc 3do's - way to help sales guys.......

Yep, Killing Time 2 , you're in a haunted South American hotel built with Nazi funds (yes there is at least one in Argentina) , unravelling the secrets of the Mayan calendar along the way , only to inadvertently start the end of days. I'd play that.

I have noticed that a Graham Gooch cricket game was planned for the Jag - one would assume that it would've been a PAL exclusive.

A higher number wouldn't urprise me - I lived in a small town of 20000 on the edge of the Australian outback at the time and knew 2 other owners.

Goldstars & Sanyos 99 % ribbon cable issues 1 % laser , especially if burnt discs repeatedly used - this has all been addressed in previous posts.

Here's an idea - only buy and use originals and stop screwing up the few machines left. If that's too expensive then find a different hobby.

Both of my Goldstars have "time 2 die" on their boxes

Thanks for this thread - I'd wrongly assumed for nearly 20 years that it was simply an upgraded version of the mega cd version. I'm definitely going to give it a whirl now !
