Would a Jap 3DO still play US NTSC and PAL games?

Well if i get an FZ-1 model without the sampler disc then i am sure i can find the ISO for one... hopefully! I wish there was just 1 3DO model that had everything! The Goldstar does not need a sampler CD, neither does the FZ-10 but the FZ-10 feels very cheap and i do not like it's styling :( An FZ-1...

Ok my Goldstar is all sorted now It just had a bit of a grubby lens... a bit of Isopropyl fixed it! I did take a couple of pics but cannot figure out how to post them here? I am using Mozilla Firefox.

I could get an NTSC system but it means getting another step down transformer and they are not all 100% reliable and are big and bulky hanging out of the wall socket :? I am not sure how PAL optimised games will look or perform on an NTSC system? I know the PAL 3DO has got shocking big black borders...

Does the UK/Euro PAL 3DO normally have an S-video connector??

I have a PAL Goldstar unit and it only has Composite and RF (no s-video port)... I was wondering if this is the same with a PAL Panasonic?

I actually have my eye on a sweet FZ-1 at the moment It's not boxed though and pretty much all of my systems are fully boxed with everything they originally came with! My Goldstar came boxed with manuals and 15 random games.... only cost me £35 for the lot so it's not all bad

As for all the old PC games.... just download Dosbox and your sorted! I can run pretty much all Dos and early Windows (3.1 + 95) on my current PC gaming rig with no problems

Doom on the 3DO is by far the worst version on any console... then the 32X version..... Even my old snes version looks, sounds and plays better!

Thats a great guide for fixing up a Panasonic But is it the same for a Goldstar? I'm not sure if they use the same parts for the CD drive mechanism? And are there any Goldstar repair guides out there??

I suppose this is one of the very few times i can say "glad i got a Goldstar" The CD tray on the Goldstar is reliable and silky smooth!....... But that maybe the only good thing about it as mine has a couple of "issues"

The least attracive consoles in my opinion are: Turbo Grafx 16 = Horrible cheaply made lump of plastic! PC Engine is much better :wink: SNES (American version) = What did they do to it!! It looks horrible.... The Jap and UK versions are the best looking snes :D My Goldstar 3DO is not much to look at...
