OOOH. THE NEW ONE? HOW IS IT? I really wanted to see that one but I couldn't ever get the time to swing to the theater. I love the Muppets.

I thought about seeing it until I saw all the hype around it. Maybe I'll wait until the end of its run when the theaters will be empty.. Seriously though, it peaked my interest slightly. Gave me the notion that maybe it was sort of an Americanized "Battle Royale". Man that movie was messed up...

Drat. I don't have a PS3 and I certainly don't want to spend five hundred bucks just to play a cricket game. I'll put that in my "Someday. Someday..." folder though. Thanks for the heads up. I recommend picking up a reconditioned launch model if you ever want modern gaming, the launch model plays p...

Anyway, what did you think of the flick then, Trev? I haven't heard what anyone's opinions are on the movie yet. Much better than I thought it would be actually. I went in w/low expectations really ... I hadn't heard too much about it (surprisingly) and my wife picked it, but I thought it was good....

I'll probably end up seeing it at some point in the near future. A buddy of mine absolutely loved the books and he's been pumped about the movie for a while. If I hadn't heard of the books and they used the same trailer that they are now, there would be no chance in Hell that I was see it. The trail...

Sports Games

So I've never been a big fan of sports games. I've got nothing against them, I just can't play them very long without getting bored. From what I've seen, played, and heard from other people though, the sports games on 3DO are generally pretty good. I've played FIFA and Madden and I used to really en...

Review - Cyberdillo

I'm a really big Futurama fan. It's probably one of my favorite television shows that's ever aired. Among the many fantastic quotable lines from the show, the following little conversation has always stuck with me. Fry: Why is everyone wearing those rings? Amy: Guh! Because nobody wears them anymore...

Some people might think topics like this are useless, but I like knowing what 3DO games are floating around. I really liked the original Mass Effect and I don't remember anything too bad. There is a blue alien dancer in the bar that has some risque moves but she is clothed, however skimpily, and it's not necessary to view. There is a part in the game, which I can't remember if it's required to do or not, w...

Along the same lines, I've noticed that the copy of Star Fighter that I own has a different box from what I've seen online. How many different variant releases (for the same region, of course) are there on 3DO games? I've heard of different boxes for Street Fighter and Burning Soldier. Is there any...

Before I start here, I wanna apologize if these things have been brought up before. I tried using the search function and came up with no results so here goes! In short, developers had to adhere to limitations and standards imposed by 3DO in order to ensure that the games they developed would be compatible on every 3DO unit. I think that's how it went, anyway. Huh! Ya learn something new every day, I guess. It makes sense, I guess. It's probably the only ...

A couple weeks ago I payed for a 3DO and a bunch of odds and ends. About 10 controllers, 2 mice, 2 joysticks, a bunch of boxed games (only one sealed: Immercenary). 80 games in total. I'm unsure which are of significant value. The main reason I got it was for the joysticks. I'm going to try to emul...

Re: Games that could reach 3DO's limit

But SNES port is downgraded one... could 3DO handle with arcade perfect? And maybe I'm wrong and SF3 / Garou aren't impossible for 3DO after some sacrifices? I'm really not too familiar with arcade hardware or anything, so I can't say either way that Alpha would be tough, but it'd be a heckuva lot ...

1. FPS: I how how terrible 3DO Doom port was but the reason of its failure would lie in bad optimalization instead of console's weakness. So could 3DO handle with early full 3D shooters like Quake, Terminator: Future Shock / Skynet, Goldeneye 64, Jedi Knight or Turok? Or at least, with the most adv...

But I was reading up on it some more and seems that some places will not sell games if it does not contain a rating. This is just speculation, but I would assume that the law had not been put out that require the games to have ratings. It was probably right around the corner though and it would probably be better at that point to show that you support the idea of game ratings rather than do nothing. Not only that...

Putt-Putt Joins the Parade question

So I picked up Putt-Putt Joins The Parade yesterday because I am a sad sad dude. That can't be a legit 3DO controller, can it? It's gotta be a mislabeled Master System controller.
