Either way, it's a message board. It's not a life or death situation like high school lunch room seating, so I say we all just relax and enjoy hating Plumbers Don't Wear Ties together. Hating on Plumbers Don't Wear Ties always makes me feel relaxed. To clarify, just cause someone doesn't sha...

Re: No Profits

I heard a rumour, no doubt on here, that no company (EA, 3DO, Crystal Dynamics, etc) made any profit on any 3DO game. Hence the battered and rushed conversions to other platforms. Is there evidence anywhere? Back on topic though, it seems odd that if the companies kept making games for the console ...

All of the talk about women in the old 3DO games and no one mentions Talana from Star Control 2? I almost mentioned Star Control 2. Something about ogling non-live-action babes seemed too nerdy. But, since you busted that wall down, HELL yeah Talana's a babe. I've "forged alliances" with her severa...

For the record, I have no ill-will towards Alfred. He seems like a legit dude. It's not often that someone who didn't own a 3DO bac...

Well, I'm pretty sure Plumbers must have made a profit. I mean, even if they only sold 1 copy for $50 bucks thats gotta be lik $45 profit.
And it still makes them crooks.

All of the talk about women in the old 3DO games and no one mentions Talana from Star Control 2? She's from an entire race of sirens, for Christ's sake! There's a reason The Captain wants a touch-o-vision screen, after all. The Mycon are a close second though. Man, those gorgeous pods. I'd kill to b...

Want a really bad game? A game that's boring, bland, stupid, and not fun to play beyond belief? Try Big Rigs over the Road Racing. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mB1zWEhgrLs I could pick out more polished, but maybe even more boring games. How about some Big Mother Truckers? http://www.youtube.com/...

Wow. I am distraught.

Okay, so I'm working on my 3DO collection, slowly picking off the games I missing and so on, checking them off on a list. I'm trying to get some of the less common games right now so I can pick up whatever I'm missing for cheap later one. The other day on eBay, I won a lot of "4 adult 3DO Games." I ...

Sorry for digging up such an old thread, but I though the topic was kinda neat and I'm bored and we all know what that kind of alchemy brings forward, eh? I think I'm a bit younger than average on the forum, so I'm gonna guess that my opinions on these things are a bit different. SNES - Super Mario ...

Not to detract topics, but how hard is it or would it be to port over or resign a game (pc/cd-roms) to be recognized by the 3do's OS? Theoretically it would seem to be a chance and at least a good idea. I really want to understand why they made the hardware virtuall impenetrable! In lieu of the hom...

So my reasoning goes... Of the 4 games, 1 wasn't released. Why? considering in Peter projected release and all the to do happening in Trip's office. Maybe because P. Pan is Disney! Maybe some licensing issues, maybe not enough money in the bank...(if you all still with me). Actually, insert all you...

The fps sections of Demo Man were probably the most impressive at the time (they still are to an extent) They don't play quite like your typical Wolfenstein type game though, so fair warning. I remember being frustrated when I first got it, wondering what I was doing wrong and why I couldn't beat S...

I also think Demolition Man for the 3DO is pretty good. The level of polish really help bring the whole package together. It doesn't seem to get talked about a great deal, but I think it had a lot of good ideas. Oh for sure. I'll be the first to admit that the 1 on 1 fighting sections aren't the gr...

Re: Doom on 3DO

I always thought it was kinda cool that they managed to port it to the aging SNES hardware. Do you know if Nintendo censored or edited anything in it? I had it as a kid and I don't remember there being anything too out of line being gone. It wasn't like the terrible Wolfenstein port or anything.[/q...

Couldn't have said it better myself. Some of the most fun games on the 3DO are bad, three letters: FMV. Between Sewer Shark, Demolition Man, Plumbers Don't Wear Ties, (It counts) Night Trap, Corpse Killer, I'm sure there's more. I honestly don't understand why people think Demolition Man is a bad g...

From what I have experienced, Neo-Geo fighters are often times even more strict than Capcom's games in terms of the rigid nature of timing and how combos are performed. This is especially true of the King of Fighters series. This is so true. My brother is a hardcore SNK fan. Watching him play the K...

Smash Bros. is more of a button mashing brawler. Smash Bros also has a lot of heavy random chance with the items dropping on the field too though. I've heard people argue that there's skill involved with that game but I really don't know enough about it really to judge it on a larger scale. I was n...

Man, I am not talking about Primal Rage. I have seen little kids who have no idea what they are doing beat someone on MK3 and UMK3 just by slamming buttons over and over again on several occasions. So, yes, I do believe it could happen. Something like Street Fighter II Turbo is a totally different ...

S Video issues

Okay, so I bought an S-Video cable last night to hook up my 3DO. I hooked it up and all seemed well. I recently picked up a copy of Doctor Hauzer and popped it in and started playing. Then the screen started flickering, with a bunch of black lines in the middle. I thought it might just be something ...

I still remember trying out Primal Rage when it was in the arcades. Probably because I've rarely (if ever) felt so gypped at an arcade. The game looked terrific, but the gameplay was so horribly shallow that it felt pointless. Needless to say, I've never been tempted to pick up any of the console v...

Would you really call Sly Cooper a mascot though? I mean, sure, he's a platforming hero but he's in a different league from Mario or Sonic in their prime. I'm not sure I'd even put Sly Cooper mascot level as high as Chester Cheetah or Joe Camel.

It should have had a sleeve. You may have gotten jipped, haha. Man, I must've! I supposed Digital Pictures was on the major slope to destruction at the time, so if me not getting a sleeve helped them stay in business a week longer, that's cool. I guess I can look at it like a a collector's item now!
