Re: The game that got canceled!
Going back to Gir Draxa's earlier post, it's interesting to go month-by-month and look at what alternatives we have for these unreleased games, e.g.: December 1995 Chess Wars - released on PC ISIS: Earth Wind & Fire - released on PC/Mac Maximum Surge - unreleased on any platform, Windows 95 demo is ...

Re: Did My 3DO Storage Method Damage It?
Huh, that doesn't sound right -- I don't remember having any trouble opening my FZ-1, or needing to "snap" anything to unlatch it (as is the case on, say, the ColecoVision). I guess a brush could work, but 91% isopropyl and Q-tips should be part of your arsenal as a retrogamer anyway. :) If you play...

Re: Did My 3DO Storage Method Damage It?
Is there any reason to use a lens cleaner disc, rather than just opening up the FZ-1 and gently cleaning the lens with a Q-Tip and 91% (or higher) isopropyl alcohol? I did that with my first FZ-1 and saw an improvement in disc read success, and it's a pretty standard thing to do on disc-based system...

Seems like a nice start. If you ever end up with longboxes you don't want feel free to let me know. Have you played Belzerion much? Here's what I've got. That could definitely do it, especially together with the name change. Thanks for checking, and let's hope things go back to normal!3DO Experience wrote:Sorry I've been MIA. I checked, there was one Google bot IP in the ban list & I took that out. I'm not sure other than that.

Re: 2nd model Panasonic gamepad vs 1st
I've had two of each, and to me the D-pads on the JP2X definitely felt a little crisper and better. There was something kind of coarse about the JP1X D-pads -- a subtle grittiness and stickiness that put me off. That said, I wish I still had one so I could use headphones with my 3DO. But all told, t...

I'm writing it in C# so it should compile under OS X using monodevelop. BTW I've decompiled the Dr. Hauzer ISO and I can confirm the script is in plaintext. Sweet! So it would literally just be a matter of replacing those script files with translated ones, and re-signing the disc? Easiest script du...

Re: OperaTool
Any chance that an OS X-compatible tool could come out of all this? I'd love to be able to check out 3DO ISO contents without having to resurrect my wife's old dead Windows machine. Ideally, I'd like to start tinkering with attempts at making translation patches, since an old post by 3DOKid indicate...

Re: And I thought that Lucienne's Quest was expensive!...
FIREWALL: Man vs. Machine is THE most expensive 3DO game that I've ever seen. AFIK, it was only released in Korea, and I found a complete copy on Ebay for $600.00! Which is too bad, because it looks fun to me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X0a0xW4ULmw There's another Korean 3DO exclusive,...

Re: The game that got canceled!
Yeah, that's an amazing list that Gir Draxa posted. I wish I had a translation of the Japanese half of it. It's so strange seeing oodles of unreleased/canceled games, and then right in the middle is Robinson's Requiem, which did come out. Would've been nice if Kingdom II had made it to the 3DO -- ho...

And now we're down to just one Google result (on the search "site:3do.cdinteractive.co.uk"). Something is completely screwed up -- did someone ban the Google spider? But even that shouldn't cause such radically poor results.

As you can see in the homebrew section, i'm currently running out of ideas. That, and i don't know what kind of games do you really like... Re: Panasonic 3do controller and the headphone jacks
I don't think it overrides the TV sound (does it?), but you should certainly hear something coming out of your headphones. I foolishly gave away both of my controllers with headphone jacks (the later, jackless gamepads have better feel IMHO), but when I had them, it was just a matter of plugging str...

Nice to see you over here, zetastrike. This place could use some fresh faces.
I know what you mean about binge-watching ewhac and gammadev's videos. I feel like I can't watch the latest one on D until I actually play the game, though -- I imagine there are spoilers galore.

And now we're down to four hits on Google. :( We're clearly being blocked, but why? Should we just revert to being called 3DO *Zero*... or is there something that can be done? Re: Defcon 5/ I'm Back!
Bit of a necropost, but I started futzing around with this game tonight. I'm not terribly engaged so far; it seems overcomplicated and obscure, and in my experience games like that are usually very shallow affairs masquerading as deep. And the lack of an automap is irritating. That said, in fairness...

Its a woman who ported this it seems. May sound sexist but you don't see that much anymore. Ms. Heineman underwent a gender transition sometime last decade. When the game was programmed she was working under the name Bill Heineman, i.e. presenting as male. (I hope I've phrased that properly/respect...

I really think the name change is the probable culprit, but that doesn't explain why six (and only six) pages from 3do.cdinteractive.co.uk show up on Google, seemingly at random. Huh, I wonder if that's exactly it -- the name change. Maybe someone (Devin?) could check it out via Google's webmaster too...

Why has 3DO Zone disappeared from Google?
I was writing something about "Taiketsu Rumiizu" and noticed I couldn't find my review via Google. That led me to a very surprising discovery: f you search on "3DO ZONE Forums", you only get six hits from 3do.cdinteractive.co.uk. Search on "site:3do.cdinteractive.co.uk", and you get the same six hit...
