I don't know if you're in need or a way of identifying arbitrary files or discs, but would the "game Id" system from 4DO help your efforts at all? I could help you recreate the logic if you're interested.

Lost Eden is a great game that should be in any 3DO owners collection. I had a Lynx. I think my favorites were "Todd's Adventures In Slime Worls" and "Super Squeek". For graphics wow-ities, I loved Electrocop and Warbirds.
