An interesting thing in the Wolfenstein 3D Manual
In the manual for Wolfenstein 3D it says the following: Wolfenstein 3D Copyright 1992,1993,1994,1995 ID Software INC. All rights reserved. 3DO/M2 Version Copyright 1995 ID Software INC. Software developed for the operation of the 3DO/M2 Version of Wolfenstein 3D.... I just found it odd that it menti...

Crash 'n Burn had some issues on early model Goldstar consoles. So thats why Crash N Burn runs kind of buggy on my Goldstar, didn't know that. Thanks. This is incorrect. Every unit produced for the market has conformed to the same specs for RAM. I wasn't sure, I remember reading about the incompati...

I personally like the 3DO much better than the Jaguar. While I have never actually owned a Jaguar I have played many of the games. I have been wanting a 3DO for years and recently finally was able to get one. The Jaguar on the other hand I have never really wanted one. :? After looking through all t...

Goldstar Incompatibilitys?
I have read that the Goldstar 3DO is incompatible with a couple of games due to having a smaller amount of ram than the Panasonic models or something like that. What are the games that are incompatible with the Goldstar?

Remind me to update the list of threads that bumping will get you banned. This one instance. Sorry about that, didn't mean any harm. Could you point me to the rule list for this forum? I think the official story was someone hacked the site and trashed all the files. Everything was lost but supposedly the hacker copied it all first. I remember there was more to it than that, I asked over at blueguerilla.org and this is what one of the old members remembered, basically a user named...

I'm from the USA so I have an NTSC Goldstar unit hooked up via S-Video. The RPG am I thinking about trying is Guardian War. Lucinnes Quest looks alright too from what little I've seen of it. I will probably try Guardian War first. My all time favorite RPGs are Skies of Arcadia and Grandia 2 on the S...

My 3DO Experience
I never played the 3DO back when it was new. I had been wanting one for a few years now but could never find one for the right price. I had tried some of the games on FreeDO but it's just not the same as playing it on the original system. So basically this thread is going to be my first impressions ...

Is there a good site for 3DO screenshots?
I'm looking for a site that has screenshots for basically every 3DO game. I have been to VGMuseum but they only have screenshots for a handful of games. So does a site exist that has screens for almost every 3DO game? If not I think we should make one! Not a website mind you, but a forum topic. I wo...

Best golfing game for 3DO?
Basically my question is, what is the best Golf game for the 3DO? I want to try on of them out but was wondering which is better. If I am correct there are 3 different golf games, PGA 96, Pebble Beach and World Cup Golf. Which one would you recommend?

I only saw The Fugitive in action, but it was five steps below VHS quality. Pixels everywhere. I'd pick LD any day. LD was notoriously expensive back then though, not sure about now, is it even still about? But that's awful about the quality compared to VHS. What was the point then? Was the idea th...

Does anyone remember Chex Quest? That was the best free game in a box of cereal ever! It's the Doom of cereal-based shooters (although I think it was built on the Duke Nukem 3D engine). I read a 3DO faq and it states that a Video CD add-on was released for the Goldstar and it is easier to come by than the ones for the Panasonic machines. I have just played Doom on the 3DO for the first time, and yes it does run at a pretty slow framerate. One thing I don't understand is why do you have to put in a cheat code to get full screen? I assume it is because of the low framerate, but I didn't really notice it being any slower than it was wi...
