Yes the DC controller was one of the best, but they could have just taken the SS "Model 2" controller, stuck a thumb pad where the D-pad is, and called it a day.3DO Experience wrote:I too liked both the Saturn and Dreamcast controllers.

Shockwave Assault was released on the Mac. Is it the same as the Pippin version?
Chris Conway of EA talks about porting it here. He also talks about what happened to the ports of Shockwave 2. (They were cancelled.) The Mac version was eventually released.

According to Melf at Sega-16, Michael Knox, co-founder of Park Place Productions, passed away last week from cancer. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jeIilKTf0OI At about 1:16, there's footage of what appears to be 3D Football. Unfortunately, the colors on the video are all warped. IIRC, those 3D game...

The Harmony Engineering website mentions Dinonauts, an educational game that was released for Mac and Windows. I'm assuming it has nothing to do with Virgin's Dinoblaze or Panasonic's Theo the Dinosaur.

Yeah, that was pretty much DOA, and the 3DO got caught up in the hype. It settled down into a games machine, but marketing it as a multimedia device at first probably didn't help anything. And that whole "this is a multimedia machine, not a game console" thing is at least partly why the FZ-1 was or...

Interview with the Vampire (or Rather, the 3DO Programmer)
I operate Game Developer Research Institute , a website dedicated to finding out more about game development companies and people. One of the companies we've been especially interested in researching is the contract developer TOSE , which has been profiled in recent years by Gamasutra and 1up . I ca...

Why are you researching the developer? Why not? That's what we do at GDRI, dig up info on obscure contract developers. I'm especially proud of the work we've done with Opera House. You won't find more information about it anywhere else. And if you need anything else, please do ask. I'd really like ...

YouTube video game reviewer/ranter Armake21 recently shared his...love...for Phoenix 3. I've not played the game, but it doesn't look THAT bad. Watch the video here.

3DOKid, I should probably thank you for the F1GP video, as it's helped a little with my research on Opera House (the game's developer).
