Awesome, glad you finally got your 3DO. Now you will enjoy what many of us have been enjoying since it's release! By the way! Love the remixes! Some of it sounds so real, like you had a real orchestra working for ya? What programs do you use to build your music? I have messed around a bit over the y...

I'm just curious to have a look."" Nope, I don't have any pictures of anything right now except for just the box ...

that ribbon cable "appeared" to be ok, maybe I should to a continuity test on each pin of the cable to see if there is a break or not. So the cd-rom daughterboard would cause issues for it to not boot? Because as far as I know at the moment, the drive is ok (until I can boot the system and test othe...

I voted Out of this World. I love the eerie environment. And the music is just more fitting I guess. I could never get into Flashback, although I do realize that it's a bit more in depth then OotW.

If you stick a mainboard in the dishwasher it's a great way to remove a lot of unwanted residue from the PCB. I've done it on a NES mainboard once, and it worked great. Also cleans the connectors nicely. The oven from what I have heard will heat things up enough to sort of automatically re-flow all ...

So I picked up a boxed Goldstar 3DO for $10

Found a boxed Goldstar 3DO for $10 on CL. I figured what the hell, what do I have to lose. Came with one controller, cables, and John Madden Football complete in the long box. So I get it home, plug it in, and the thing won't eject. Then I decide to hook it up to the TV to see if it's even booting a...

I am partly addicted to collecting, but mainly to playing. The collecting part of me is only drawn to complete games with boxes, manuals, inserts, etc... Burned games are so ugly to look at without a cool label. :P But I can't just own a game to own it. I must play it, and if it is a game I know I'...

I have both Slayer and Deathkeep and tried them both for about 10 minutes each. Then I decided these were games that I was going to need to devote a good chunk of my life to play, so I ejected them for another time (possibly never). I did notice the difficulty and the graphics were amazing.

Yeah I think some people are indeed more addicted to the collecting part of it than the playing part. I know sometimes when I want to play a game, I have just as much fun pulling games out, looking at the boxes, making sure every game is all lined up properly on the shelves and just generally dickin...

The whole "composite looks like crap on LCD" can be thrown out the window. So it cannot be due to signal degredation. The reason why I say this is because why then does a DVD player, or a newer console like the 360 or PS3 look ok on an LCD tv?

Something to do with the hardware.

RF Generation is a website/forums place, similar to here except it's also got collection cataloging tools. You can input all of your games into it, tell it if you have the boxes, manuals, etc etc. You can also input all of your hardware, controllers, even AC Adapters and AV cables. It's a pretty awe...

The comment that I hear that pisses me off the most, especially by older people that should know better (kids have a reason to say it) is:

"How can you play that! Those graphics suck!"
