In the manual for Wolfenstein 3D it says the following:
Wolfenstein 3D Copyright 1992,1993,1994,1995 ID Software INC. All rights reserved. 3DO/M2 Version Copyright 1995 ID Software INC. Software developed for the operation of the 3DO/M2 Version of Wolfenstein 3D....
I just found it odd that it mentions the M2. Does anybody know why it says this?
An interesting thing in the Wolfenstein 3D Manual

I found another interesting piece of information in the Wolf 3D manual, it's not related to the M2 but it's still interesting.
I had Wolf 3D for the PC back when it was new, so according to this if I would have bought a 3DO system I could have sent in my PC disks and got the 3DO version for only $15. That is awesome!Wolfenstein 3DO Manual wrote: System Upgrades
Interplay has a system upgrade policy. At any time after purchasing any Interplay product, you may send us your original disks and a check for $15.00 (U.S. Funds) and we will replace your disks with the version for another computer system that you specify. (This price is subject to change)
It does say you can do this ANYTIME after purchasing an interplay product. Last time I checked 2011 is still anytime
