I was posting about Painter CD the other day and the thread evolved into a solution for making an encrypted version, thanks to Gordon's source code, Belboz's tools, Reboot's ULS Boot and JiFFI. (This may have been done before but was unknown to me)
The resulting .cof converted to ROM file, with JiFFI also works in vj-20130203.zip as well as Project Tempest 0.95.
