Manual Replacements

Post by 3DO Experience » Mon Apr 20, 2009 3:20 am

Let's face it most people are getting their games off evil-bay (me included), trades & game lots and you don't get the manual in many cases, sometimes you only get the disc. Well this thread is to take care of that, mind you the ones I'm putting up are not high quality, these are just to get the ball rolling. If you decide to scan your own I suggest doing it at 300dpi, hopefully we can make all manuals available.

All files available for individual download.

The ones I have are rather poor quality so if you have ones that are on my list go ahead and post them. If I had done any of them they would be at a nice reprint quality.

all but 4 from your list is on replacement docs, so when i started scanning i was avoiding the ones already done on that site. since i have all but a few manuals in my collection all the scanning ive done has been for other people.
but if anyone is bored you can scan CPU Bach for me :D thats one of the few i need

yeah i noticed their markings on a couple ive downloaded in the past. maybe we can put those off untill last and just try and get the rest scanned. it would be cool if replacement docs was alittle faster. ive had about 15 other 3do manuals uploaded their for the past 2 months and only my Way of the Warrior got posted quickly because i found someone who requested it. ive found out that making the manuals perfect like they want is alittle to time consuming for me. thank god for the Jpg to PDF converter i have :)

thats all the manuals i have scanned so far. i will have to grab a new batch when i get some time to scan them. so thats what 106 game/system manuals uploaded so far? i have 58 on my page i think 3DO Experience has 48. not to bad

They don't want them perfect, they just want them their way. Most of the manuals I've gotten from there are CRAP.

Due to Oceania's recent, decisive victory over Eurasia avatar rations have been relaxed for a short while.

No mirror. I just tried to upload to megaupload but it wanted 8 hours. Could be my internet as it's been running slow lately.

Try SkyDrive or Google Docs?

I don't wanna be nes-ish at all, but is the forum unaware of the fact that Blockbuster lost a similar legal dispute w/ NES, involving copyright infringement of literary material ie manuals!

Something to think about since _O_ discussions r not acceptable. How can this thread not b a conflict of forum positioning, regarding copyright?

Ill fated system or ill fated thread? Either way it will definitely be interesting to read the replies to this particular subjects point of view. Save the mention of the coveted "Ice Breaker" project, including the custom graphics. Who actually owns the rights to those properties?

Good thing, "I'm a gamer!" and not in anyway affiliated with organization that may police cyberspace. Just thoughts to ponder upon, in between loading times. Throw away the toys 3do is a R.e.a.l. experience.

Jus reviewed a related sticky. It would appear that you guys r on top of this debatable subject, as the link to those custom covers was not open.

A little disappointing, really. I think I need to long on and post everyday as info seems to come and go, get lost, deleted or otherwise made inaccessible.

No actually, this is a good think! I know I would hate to see the forum closed for unlawful activities; conversation or otherwise.

While reflecting on my difficulty finding an Iron Angel of the Apocalypse: The Return manual, it occurred to me that I actually have a couple manuals which are not in Lemmi's database. Heck, I have one which isn't in 3DO Experience's now-defunct database either! Given that I'm not a collector, I don't think it makes sense for me to start up my own database of 3DO manuals, but... Lemmi, if I uploaded scans of these manuals to photobucket, do you think you could add them to your database?

Actually, we can combine them all now and make one big one hosted on the same server as the disc images and soundtracks.

i edited my first post for my manuals with a working link (they changed the name on me)
