3DO Magazine, how many issues?

Post by 3DOKid » Tue Jan 12, 2010 4:43 pm

How many issues of the Official 3DO magazine were there? 3DOToday reckons 15, but I can old find evidence of 14 plus 3DO Gold edition. Anyone know for sure?

I started, but it's not easy. Because obviously the magazine is stapled in the middle sometimes no matter how hard I press, there are words missing. Anyone got any advice?

CAREFULLY remove the staples, scan pages removed from the rest and when done scanning reinsert the staples and bend then back into the closed position. I've had to do this multiple times before and it actually causes less wear to the magazine than it would have the spine pressed all the way open over and over with every turn of the page.

It would make a decent "sticky" - I started to do it and only got about half way through issue 1 before selling to Bitrate lol!

It'll make a good (but depressing) read - ah what might have been.......

I'm in the process of gathering all the issues of 3DO Magazine (So far I have Issues 10 - 12 in PDF format and all 15 cover disks in ISO format.

I ideally want to get all 15 UK issues and share via torrent.

By the looks of this thread most of the work as already been done.

Would you be willing to share? I can't find these magazines to buy anywhere (I would also like to buy the real thing as well).

Any help would be appericated.

Buying the real thing will be quite tough. Besides the rarity, there are many 3DO fans willing to pay ridiculous amounts for them (myself included)

There are some scans thankfully.

There should still be some links here on the forum. Using the search should bring them up.

I think I still have #15 lying about somewhere, because I made sure not to throw it out as I got my letter printed in that one. Right now all I can find is the Gold Edition though. I've found the other few magazines/comics from years ago where I got a letter or picture printed but the 3DO Magazine isn't there. I'm off work soon for 10 days so I'll see if I can find it (am decorating the house which will involve a bit of spring cleaning).

If I do find it I can scan it in :)

Here's hoping!

Hope I can find it! It's quite worrying that it isn't with those other magazines I mentioned. There's even a copy of #11 of Edge, where I got a 3DO-themed letter printed too. :) But I'll tear the place apart this time next week when I have my first day off and hopefully it turns up! I can't ever remember throwing it out, and with the letter I can't see why I would've... I think I actually remember seeing it not so long ago which is really annoying too lol!
