Custom Older Games covers

Post by 3DO Experience » Tue Feb 16, 2010 3:38 am

Ok years ago when OlderGames released the encrypted 3DO games I got in contact with the now infamous owner. He was going to send me the artwork he used to make the covers and I was going to convert them to jewel case versions. He never ended up sending me them.

I then began work on my own versions after finding the original art for Decathlon. I was holding off on releasing them until I had finished a manual for Deca and I also asked 3DOKid to do a write up for the back of the elusive Footie. Neither of which ended up happening. After finishing some of the covers I left the work undone and forgot about them. Now I will release the covers if someone can write me a good review of the game worded as if they were going to put it on the back of CD case.

The original front art. (Do not ask me who I got it from)

Car is my best guess at the main car you drive, remade the title very nicely.

For US and the rest of the world.

There is also a double case version of this.

Your challenge. I made the cover a stadium because of how you can choose your viewing angle from the stadium in the game.

Those are very nice! :)

Were you looking for a quick blurb on footie only, or did you want something fresh for all of them?

I just need to put text on the back of Footie. It needs to be like the back of a retail case would read, aka make someone want to buy it.

All of the others are finished and are 300dpi using high quality images.

Can maybe try to whip up something this weekend if you like ...

Would be nice if I could get a quote from 3DOKid to add in there somewhere ... something like ...

"Second best bloddy soccer beta on the 3DO!" - 3DOKid :D

Am tempted to plagiarize in his abscence ... but I won't

LOL.

3DO Experience, can we get copies of your covers? I'd like to convert mine to yours as they look better. They look absolutely brilliant.

:)

Yes, as soon as Footie is done. See. if you had written a review for me you could have had them years ago.

Well, see, that was before I realised you were a woman. I can do them now if you want ;)

Pretend 3DO has hired you to put text on the back of the game Footie that would make people want to buy it.

The game was so unfinished it's sad, I really liked the idea of wathing the game from different areas in the stadium.

These are brilliant. Your very talented, it's a pity the idiot at older games decided to go with his own crappy designs :)

When I asked him for the art he used, he actually wanted me to start design covers for him but then he was found out.

Nope, just a hobby. Do DVD covers mostly, I was an admin at dvdca before we got shut down. After Disney hit us a lot of my passion was lost, no sites ever came close to having the same feeling so most of my work since then has never been released. I did design a metal box set that is for sale but I really only did it to have the case made for me, traded the reproduction rights for the approval proof.
