I just read that the standard 3DO was capable of displaying 3D (silly spec's 3D that is) images.
Is this true?

I don't see why not, the old 8-bit Famicom and NES could.

But I like the way SEGA did it with sub-roc 3d and the Master System 3-d games and glasses.

Yeah the Famicom had those too, as well as LaserDisc and countless PC software. However I think so-far the RealD at the cinema is the best we've gotten (not including theme parks).

I have a picture of the prototype 3d glasses for the 3do, ill see if i can find it
