In an article about High Heat Baseball in Next Generation 40, it states "High Heat began as a title for 3DO's Opera system. When that died, it was rewritten for M2 ..." What is this Opera system? I've been going through Next Gen's magazines chronologically and this is as far as I recall the first time it's been mentioned. Searching "3DO Opera" on Wikipedia and these forums turns up little beyond the traditional meanings of opera (e.g. soap opera, space opera); the Wikipedia article on the 3DO mentions the 3DO Company selling the Opera technology to Samsung but gives no explanation on what the technology is, and the cited sources don't mention Opera at all. An Internet-wide search pulls up only a 3DO emulator called Opera, which I assume was named after that system, but no explanation beyond that.
Anybody know what this thing was?
Opera system?

Re: Opera system?
Opera is the development name of the original 3DO hardware.
