A presentation and a few questions about 3DO Blaster =)

Hi all ,
i have found that forum after having searched on google informations about 3DO Blaster.
I have never owned a 3DO:
my only console has been an old Atari 2600 clone with about 128 games into it (it died a few years ago, dunno why, i still have it anyway) so, excepting some "playing afternoon" at friend's homes with psx, ps2, n64, gc and wii, i am mainly a PC gamer.
Anyway, since a few years i like old games (especially racing simulations, like papyrus ones), emulation and the retrogaming world in general.
A few months ago i have even set up a pc for playing old 3d games at their best.
It was during this period, when i was still searching the main pieces of it, that i came around infos about the 3DO Blaster for the first time. (i was searching a 3d blaster pci with rendition verite 1000 chipset).
For the sake of curiosity, i searched it on ebay looking for price tags and, even if i don't remember exactly how much they were, i remember they were pretty high
Casually, just yesterday i came around an old Creative CR-563-B with a Creative SoundBlaster 16MCD. It didn't took me much to figure out where i had already seen that cd reader model number: it was the one needed by the 3do blaster
But it took me much less to came up with the consequential insane idea:
What about finding a functional 3do blaster and setting up a rig for it?
Now, even if i like old tech and old games, i don't like spending lot of moneys into them, so i need to evaluate if this insane idea is feasible.
Then, these are the questions
- i have read, lurking this forum, that there are 3 types of 3do blasters, 1 for each region: usa, pal and jap
Is that true?
- If yes, there is some way for making it region free? (if 1 card is insane, 3 cards are too much, even for me! ) Or can i play usa and jap games on pal cards anyway?
- in which places i can probably find the cards?
- generally, which is the price tag for which these are being sold?
- if i have the card, the cd reader, the sound blaster, an old pc for mouting them (i know about the divide by 0 problem) and windows 3.1, do i need some other things?
- Which is the creative product number of the 3do blaster?
Usually, for creative video and sound cards, its like CT-xxxx where Xs are numbers:
for example CT-4860
i would like to know the one of the 3do blaster (during google searches i was unable to find it). It is usually printed on the card pcb, so if any of you has the card, please take a look at it
Thanks in advance for the answer, and excuse me for my english, it is not my motherlanguage
