Killing Time update disc?
What is it exactly?

yep it fixes the save bug problem from the original disc, the updated disc is black with red lettering, instead of red with black lettering3DOKid wrote:From what I understand the mail-in version has less bugs...

Choppy or not, Killing Time was still fun to play. Just not using the flamethrower
Btw, the update also fixes the map bug, so that it remembers where you've been now. Although I found the bug returns when entering a few areas like MIKE'S HIDEOUT, but its still cool.

Is mikes hideout the room with the puzzle column room which you have to walk past the columns a certain way? iirc, you dont even have to go through that room and can just be walked around, and I thought the map doesnt save there on purpose because of the wacky nature of the room warping you into an illusion of unending room of columns. not sure if thats the room though. So many areas, I could never remember them by name.

Hmm, this is funny as I have both discs and never really knew that there was a difference. I always play the Red disc though and haven't had any problems with the saves, well not yet. The map fix though, that really might make it worth it.
This is a stick up! Put all of your 3DO games in the bag and nobody gets hurt!

Mikes Hideout is the place where the only song with lyrics, "TIME TRAPPED ISLE" plays durring the game. It seems that going in there though erases map data from earlier areas, especially from the outdoors areas.BryWI wrote:Is mikes hideout the room with the puzzle column room which you have to walk past the columns a certain way? iirc, you dont even have to go through that room and can just be walked around, and I thought the map doesnt save there on purpose because of the wacky nature of the room warping you into an illusion of unending room of columns. not sure if thats the room though.
