Korean and other rare 3do games

Post by Madroms » Sun Mar 04, 2007 1:06 pm

Is there a list of 3do game from Korea and any other countries (not US, EUR or JPN) ?

I just saw you talked about Firewall here, I never heard about it before. So now I know its existence, I am looking for it :D (are there any screenshots of it, or somewhere I can get/buy it ?).

So, are there any other titles released in Korea or any other "uncommon" countries ?

Actually, there are a few more very rare titles to come out of Korea, and honestly, I don't think we've seen the last of HTF titles from Japan either. Anyone come across ROCKMAN X3 yet? Capcom of Japan says it pressed a 'mimimal amount' so they are out there somewhere.

As to pics of FIREWALL, why yes, there is a place that happens to have some pics :

Oh, and btw, since 3DO Today already mentioned it, I guess it's cool that I also mention the 3DO game EYE OF TYPHOON. Another Neo Geo Fighter done by Viccom and brought to us on 3DO through LG Electronics. I think it's equally rare on Neo Geo as it is on 3DO. :D

Thanks for the link and the info.
Now, I know 2-3 more titles I need to find

And I never heard/saw rockman x3 for 3do, so it must be really rare or maybe unreleased :?:

Along with STREET FIGHTER II INTERACTIVE MOVIE, I had inquired to CAPCOM OF JAPAN as to their status. They said they were released, but in 'minimal quantities'. So, it's your good fortune if you find one.

Your request will be granted in a just a bit. :)

Scanning now.

Anyone also want scans of the mag that shows pics of the infamous "M2 Dolphin promo"?

Cool! Now that's one thing that would get my collector's streak going...

Maybe the other scans could go in the M2 thread?

I remember reading a brief announcement about Mega Man coming soon in an issue of 3DO magazine. This was in mid '96, so I assumed the project was shortly cancelled due to 3DO's exiting the market. Do you know the release date?

I'd love to see the dolphin/boat demo in the M2 thread!

heh. my bad. It actually says in the article. :D April 26, 1996.

Good news seems to be the space I was given by Devin has started to work, so perhaps I will continue to scan and post some stuff there, I will post something in just a bit to the M2 section though. :)

Okay man, niow that is cool. Too bad it must be a serious Bitch to get that. Probably as bad as trying to find the Rockman collection cart for the Genesis, if not worse.

Hm, wikipedia lists Rockman 3 for the 3DO as cancelled. I wonder what their source was on that?

I never trust wikipedia. Truthfully speaking, I would trust the word of Capcom over the word of some dude in his mothers basement any day, know what I mean? Although, proof might be needed on this as it would be nice to see an actual physical copy of Rockman X-3 for the 3DO.

Yeah, I don't trust Wikipedia too much... But I'm also not so sure I trust some random Capcom employee who very well may be misinformed, either. I want proof, too!

Wikipedia is more a court of public opinion than true fact. I have two different groups in Japan looking for it in the various shops there... so far no soap.

But much like any really last gen game, they're probably out there, it's just sitting on a shelf behind something else at some game shop. Hey it's how I got some of my rarest stuff. Just gotta travel and DIG deep in the retro stores.

Speaking of which, the more I see screen shots of Fire Wall, the more I realize that I have to play this thing. Looks to be in the same vein as Starblade and Burning Soldier. This is all good to me man!

It was going to be one of the flagship reviews for the new launch of the Collective. Now that idea has been put on hold.

I do plan another trip through to Thailand later this year. So, yes it is possible. Saturn games are CHEAP there. Twin Sticks for $20 new. One store had the veritable treasure trove of wonderswan titles.

Since I have the site on hold again, does anyone just want to see a few screenshots of Eye of Typhoon?

Is there much 3DO stuff in Thailand? My most treasured, precious, loved 3DO item happens to be my not-so-rare copy of Policenauts. For the simple reason I bought it in Tokyo. :)
