When did 3DO fall off the market?

Post by OfManNotMachine » Tue Aug 18, 2009 8:25 am

I recall getting my 3DO in Christmas of 1994 I believe. I was 12 years when I got it. Absolutely loved it.

Of course...I was young n foolish, and in fall on 1995, I sold it and all my games to a friend (although years later I would reclaim it!) for a Sony Playstation.

3DO had some games come out in 1996 didn't it? What was the last official U.S. release of a 3DO Game? I'm thinking for some reason it was Lucience's Quest? When did it, or whatever the last game for 3DO come out?

For some reason, I'm extremely curious about this even though it really serves no purpose whatsoever other than to satisfy my own personal thirst for knowledge!

The writing was on the wall. The 3DO magazine carried a top story of how 3DO Studio was going to develop games for all platforms. Sort of gave the game away :)
