				What's your favorite pad?

Yeah, when you play 3DO, which pad do you sport with? I go for the Panasonic pad, which mine is falling apart, or the Capcom pad. I like the 3DO pad itself except that the D-Pad seems to have no give and I hate that.

I like all the pads, but I actually think the Goldstar one was the best feeling. I like the original Panasonic pads w/the headphone jack, and the wireless ones from Docs are actually quite reliable also. And, I have a joystick in the mail

  Can't wait!

Funny, I've been meaning to ask this question for like a month now, and when I finally did in another thread, I find this one!
http://cdinteractive.co.uk/3do/forum/vi ... =1557#1557
In the post above, I asked about the Logitech controller. Has anyone used it? Do you recommend it?

i have that controller it came with Zhadnost, and i find it kind of small and cramped, the D pad is nice, its raised up off the controller and feels good, but over all i find it small in my hands

Hm, considering I think the Panasonic pad is too big, I think I'll take that as a plus. I put an offer in.

Oh, that's the smaller Panasonic pad. I've never actually used that one.
Also, what the hell is
this?! I might just get it for the sheer novelty of it!

Yeah, that is the 3DO pad. I like the Pad, but I hate the fact that the D-Pad seems to have no give to it at all. If not for that, I would so love it.

Well, the seller took my offer on the Logitech pad. I guess I finally have some new 3DO stuff to play with! I've got my eye on a few other auctions, too.

The Zhadnost pad is my favorite, but mine is in the shrinkwrap still, so I'm using the original JP1X that came with my FZ1.

This was a widely reported problem with the first batch of 3DO pads. Not much of a problem really, except for some of the fighting games that require rotating it for moves & such.

Probably the MadCatz 6-button for actual 3DO controllers, but I would rather play with the Genesis 6-button pad for most games.

nope, but it does look like an after market controller that wasnt made during the 3do's lifetime, ive seen it before
anyone have a good experience with those guys buying old stuff?
ive read tons of unhappy people that have dealt with them after my bad experience
i wanted 4 games that said they were in stock and after they told me they had them and after they got their payment, i got an email saying they didnt have those games, and offered me other games instead, i said no thanks, and it took 5 months to get my payment back, because they said they couldnt send my Money Order back and kept trying to get me to sign up for paypal so they could send it that way, at the end i told them im getting a lawyer and they he would contact them unless i got my MO back, and BAM 1 week later i got my original MO back

I got the Logitech control pad in the mail today, and I think it outclasses the Panasonic pad in every way.
It's more comfortable to hold, I like the smaller/clickier face buttons, the shoulder buttons are a nice improvement, and I love that the connector for additional controllers is at the end of the cord, rather than on the back of the controller. The D-pad still isn't perfect, but it's much better than the standard pad.
Its form factor reminds me a bit of the revised (and awesome) Saturn pad. All around, highly recommended.

It's a shame the 3DO pads got so much stick in the gaming press. I agree about the d-pad, they should have improved on that with the smaller JPX-2, but wasted that opportunity. I liked the Goldstar ones quite a lot, but the Panasonic ones always felt sturdier. The headphone jacks were a genius idea and I think the daisychain feature was pretty nifty and unique. I remember when I got a PSX afterwards and felt ripped off: you had to buy a multitap and memory cards, which was never an issue for the 3DO.

The Japanese pad is good bit smaller than EU/US pad. And it's not to bad.

Nope, but it does look rather interresting, doesn't it? Kind of resembles the Genesis 6 pad.

I agree. The Logitech pad has a very nice feel to it.
Of course, it depends on which game I'm playing, but I also like the Capcom pad and the FZ-JP2X as well.

Goldstar FTW but sometimes the Panasonic pad can be nice. The directional pad on the Panasonic seems to be a bit more responsive, probably due to its smaller size.

Capcom 6 button all the way

. Whenever I look at a picture of the Goldstar unit I think of a bathroom. Easily one of the ugliest looking consoles ever made. I prefer the jags design over that unit.
Dont forget you can hook up Snes pads with a converter. I'm hoping my capcom snes 6 button controller works through the adapter.
