Road Rash Crash (Reset!)

Post by Andypc » Wed Apr 25, 2007 10:43 pm

I have recently got my first 3D0 and it came with seven games. Been having fun playing them and was looking forward to playing Road Rash, but just as the game is about to start it crashes / resets!. I did finally get it to start but the game crashed / reset halfway through. Is this a hardware fault? The other games seem ok. The Road Rash disc is unmarked. Any Idea's

Thanks
Andy

What model 3do do you have? I have road rash and I've played it a fair amount on my Goldstar and it hasn't crashed on that model. And the Goldstar is the one that is the least reliable.

Is the disc an original? This type of thing sounds like when someone burns a copy of a 3do disc at too high of speed.

I have a Panasonic FZ-1 and the disc is an origianal not a CD-R.

Any Idea's?

Thanks

It may sound stupid but have you cleaned the cd? Sounds like a big scratch to me.

I never had a pb with road rash on my pal fz1.

But I got some hk 3do cds and one of them never wanted to boot: FIFA, despite the iso of it is the same as the iso made from the original "genuine" cd. So HK Cds are not always well made.
(My HK Cds are grey like retail Cds, have bad to relative good looking arts on them but made with only 1 color. Copyrights and company logos are most of the time not reproduced on them.).

Cd could be damaged without any scratches on it. See if you can rip it on your PC (to check if it is readable).
