Best golfing game for 3DO?

Post by Calavera » Fri Jun 10, 2011 6:38 am

Basically my question is, what is the best Golf game for the 3DO? I want to try on of them out but was wondering which is better. If I am correct there are 3 different golf games, PGA 96, Pebble Beach and World Cup Golf. Which one would you recommend?

There is also Wicked 18, and two ESPN titles for interactive learning the game of Golf.

I've only played Pebble Beach Golf Links but I do love it. I've been completely addicted to it this last week. I know very little of golf (don't play it, and don't usually like golf videogames but I do love PBGL and the Mario Golf games lol) but have loved learning bit by bit the little nuances of this particular 3DO game and how the slightest change in any variable can have a dramatic effect. There's other games in the same series using the same engine from T&E Soft too. Waialae Country Club is the next one and 3DO Magazine says it's slightly better due to its faster screen updating and disc accessing.

But I'm guessing you may know a bit about the sport itself? Maybe you could help me with my own enquiry...? :) :

Each have there pros & cons, but I'd probably go w/PGA Tour '96. It simply offers the most game w/3 different courses and a # of actual pros.
