Is the 3DO Panasonic FZ-1 the first gaming console to employ active cooling (a fan)?
The Jaguar doesn't, and as far as I know the FM Towns Marty and various CD-I units do not either.
These are just off the top of my head as being the most likely candidates as the thought just occurred to me.
Not all FZ-1's have a fan either.

Does the Goldstar have any kind of a cooling fan? If it does I don't see it.

While the various Goldstar models do have a pocket molded into the casing to accept a fan (near the transformer), I have yet to see one with a fan installed.
