Filth from ebay

Post by 3DOKid » Fri Jan 06, 2012 3:18 pm

Do you wash stuff when you sell on eBay. I only ask becuase I recieved a 3DO 6-button pad today that looks like it had been stored in mud.

I generally rub my item down with a duster, to at least offer the façade of cleanliness.

Here it is in the sink being de-dirted.

I won't clean the inside if it's a system or controller, but the outside, definitely. Usually I clean my stuff when I get it though (or sometime thereafter if I am lazy), so if I ever sell anything it's already good to go and nice and clean.

I will often completely strip the item and clean with isopropylene inside and out - no water!

I hate getting dirty stuff from ebay or anyone else, for that matter. I got a Saturn once that had Mold growing in the box! It was horrid and smelled like someones musty basement. Bad experience.

I normally don't have dirty items, but when I do I clean them.

I once bought a chipped PS1 that looked to all the world like it had sick on it.
