Anyone know anything about this game? It's nice to see ALG was trying to branch out from their fmv shooters ... we got Mazer, but not this game which looked more promising in my opinion ...

VR Stalker didn't exactly set the world on fire, so who knows how this one might have turned out :?:

It's always nice to read articles from an age when 'Transparency' effects were new and exciting. Cheers Trev.

Glad you enjoyed. :)

Now if we could only find out some more about this game ...

I wish I could help. I've never seen anything for this outside of the advertisements.

Hmm, VR Stalker? I liked the game, but still, nowhere near the 3DO's best game. Funny, and a great read. I remember seeing the ads too. It's a bad thing this was never released. I wonder how far along they were?

3DO could've used an arcade game like this.

After re-reading the article, now I want to try out VR Stalker just to see how bad it is.

It's pretty bad imo ... an ugly looking game that's about as exciting as waiting in line at the dmv.

We should try and track down the guys as ALG and see how far this game was along? Maybe it was finished and we could persuade them much like Andy Looney was persuaded, to release the game? I'd throw some cash down to have it popped out! Who's game?

I'm game, too! At least, it would be interesting to get in contact with some of the guys that worked on it to at least divulge some more information about it.

What have we got to lose?

Okay, well I will see what I can pull out of the pipe. Let's see.

If you can't reach any of the guys at ALG, you could also try the folks at Digital Leisure. They apparently acquired the development and publishing rights to most of the ALG library, and have been porting the games to modern consoles. They might know something.

Wouldn't it be cool if we could find out something more? Heck, I'd even get a kick out of seeing more adverts (if there are any)

Any recent developments on this? I'd be willing to get in contact with people and do some of the necessary digging. I'm diehard into schmups, so anything that we can pull out of the rabbit hole would be jawsome (yeah, street sharks, whats up).

The amount of proto's popping up for other systems is staggering. Where is all the unfinished code for 3DO stuff?

If people can find half finished games from developers in japan, we should be able to find similar stuff for games made in the states.

lol I just noticed I did that.

*Shmups

Holy crap that looks nice. Goes hand in hand with my craving for a shmup on the system that I made a thread about. I wonder how complete it really was, for all we know it was far more than halfway there and there's a beta just waiting to be finished. It would happen if, like the Jaguar and Dreamcast, a homebrew community was actually there. What a shame. Maybe in 20 years I'll learn 3DO coding and go on an odyssey and see what I can do. The world's a crazy place.[/url]
